BigGame Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I was looking over the football post season awards and noticed Tyrhy Ivory was the offensive scout of the year and Daryl Brown was the defensive scout of the year. I guess I would like to know if anyone on the board watched this years freshman practice and can give any insight on who might help out next season. Quote

The backup DE positions appear pretty wide open, and he's supposed to be quite talented. I believe Jablonski was defensive scout player of the week a couple of times. He could see some playing time. Also, while he won't be a freshman, Townsend could really help the receiving corps. I suspect he'd have been a big contributor this past season had he not gotten hurt in pre-fall. Quote

Sutton and Miller are fine but will need help along the way, maybe from Butler. On defense, I too look for Cummings to be a big help. At linebacker I'm looking to see more and more of Bennet and Goodman. Quote

I remember from the live chat on signing day that the defensive coaches said Daryl Brown was someone that they were expecting big things from next year. I believe he was ranked as the top corner in MN when he came from Wayzata last year. Quote
