BC vs BU Rivalry

I saw a nice article on the front page of the WSJ today. I'm hoping that it is accessible online to all. It is about the history of the two coaches, how far they go back and the competition between them. Losing Is H-E-Double Hockey Sticks For Boston's Icy Odd Couple

BU won seven tournaments during the year and defeated BC both in the Beanpot and again in their conference tournament.

But in the NCAA final, BU trailed Ohio's Miami University, 3-1, with three minutes to go. Mr. Parker's assistants persuaded him to pull his goalie for an extra skater, a desperate move with so much time left. The first score came with 59 seconds remaining. The tying goal, scored by Mr. Bonino, came with just 17 ticks left on the clock. Twelve minutes into overtime, BU struck gold.

After a day of delirious celebration, Mr. Parker got home and found a message on his answering machine. "Great move pulling the goalie, coach. Congratulations," said the caller. It was Jerry York.

I like seeing hockey front and center in the public eye, even if it is east coast hockey. :D

East Coast Hockey is the best type. They win championships...dont forget the beatdown BC put on the Siouxage a couple years ago

east coast is the best type? :D 2 years the title has stayed out HE but please with the best hockey

HE has had a nice 2 years but go 1997 to 2006 and you will see the premier hockey conference winning in that span quite a bit not to mentiona few hobey bakers as well. bc has the sioux number in the f-4 lately, no doubt but ill take the wcha over hockey east anyday. they should do a challenge one year where every wcha team plays a hockey east team according to talent if they can.
