jimdahl
An update on Beasley. Sounds like the summer league is taking some adjustment. It is too early to begin the second-round second-guessing, but Jerome Beasley ultimately could wind up as a better-late-than-never proposition for the Heat. ... Scout Chet Kammerer, who had championed the selection of Beasley, agreed it was a ragged performance from the NCAA Division II Player of the Year. "I think it is a bit overwhelming for him right now,'' Kammerer said. "He appears to be thinking too much." ... "He's got to get a little stronger,'' said assistant coach Stan Van Gundy, whose 11-game winning streak as a summer-league coach came to an end. "He's getting bumped on his shots." Said Beasley, "I'm just trying to get into the flow. I've got to get mentally more into it."
