Should be a highly competitive weekend. UND playing better and at home, I say they get 3pts.

Another way to think about it----->Toews will play his entire freshman season as a 17 year old. Kessel will play his entire freshman season as an 18 year old.
I wonder when the last time someone as young as Toews played college hockey?

Lucia is a great recruiter, an outstanding coach, and unquestionably one of the toughest competitors the Sioux have ever had. The rivalry is what it is because both schools have outstanding programs.
The Fighting Sioux program can stand on its own merits. UND won't gain anything by making ridiculous statements about Minnesota or their coach--and we don't need to. UND's program is all about class. Our fans should be all about class too.

But I am sure Lucia is filling Forney full of lies because that is why he is such a great recruiter, he tells these kids what they want to hear and makes promises he doesn't keep, unless your the leading scorer.

I entered the discussion not having an opinion one way or the other. Canuck provided concrete facts to back up his opinion that there is no Canadian WJC conspiracy against NCAA hockey players. The only thing the conspiracy theorists can provide is a quote from an anonmymous person. From my perspective, Canuck has made a strong case for his position while the conspiracy theorists haven't.

About all this move really tells me is that da Don has confided to his assistants that the NHL is not going to come calling for his services for a long long time and that, therefore, da Donny is going to hang on to his present coaching position for as long as the Gopher higher ups will have him.
Motzko, seeing that da Donny is not going to be elevated to the pinnacle where all great coaches end up -- the NHL -- figured he'd rather be lead fiddle at St. Clown than second fiddle for the next twenty years at The John.
Good luck to Bobby. He could not have made a better career move.

Actually, it was a caller who asked Greene and McMahon to name a gopher who was overrated and underrated. If Harrington has his best game of the year against us, you can thank the caller.

The key to this series is the UND big defense and the little forwards that UMD has. Actually man for man UND is much bigger. UND has used its size the last 8 games against UMD to take it to them. I would suppose coach Hak will want to run a game plan of more of the same. UND will not take UMD for granted tonight.

(that means unexceptable too)Its called entitlement hockey, the Gopher fans think they are entitled to an NCAA title.The league is run under the same mind set and hence the league lets them have the top spots at night so they can put a$$es in the seats. Thank God they don't put the 3rd place game before the Championship. Its a whole mind set. Seems like UofM is back to its old ways. Watching UofM lose in front of 18,000 fans is even sweeter. Remember they aren't all that great this year anyways.

Nice pick-up for UND! Of course I would rather have him as a Gopher as it sounds like both coaching staffs were after him hard. He'll be a good flickertail.
