I also seem to remember that there are a couple of Canadian teams that want to come down - wonder how that would affect things.

Didn't Alabama Huntsville already anounce they are dropping hockey? I thought that was what was making it so difficult for Bemidji - All leagues already have an even number and whatever switching goes on someone will be left with an odd number.

Kind of off topic a little but I remeber people saying there was no way Zach was going to make it in the NHL cause he was just too small. Oooops guess they were wrong - also Zach left UND during the lock-out season, played AHL and then started his NHL career the same year the new rules took effect.

I thought I heard someone say that Nebraska-Omaha had been asked that question when the WCHA lifted the ban on more teams and they responded in no uncertain terms that they would not be moving. I may be remembering wrong, but seems to me I saw it either on Brad's blog or in a news report - wasn't just us experts here on the board.

Do you think there's any way we can get a 12th - I just don't see the WCHA letting in only 1 team, no matter how good an addition Bemidji would be.

Watching Cornell reminds me of Tech, Alaska, Wisco - Oh how I HATE that trap crap - that just isn't hockey in my opinion.

I think it is probably a long shot for Duncs to go to the Big show, you have to remember that the "new" NHL wasn't in effect when Panzer and Senja left school.

You 8 seniors are the definition of team first players. You came in with a huge class 4 years ago. Most of you quietly stayed in the background working hard and moving forward while some of your classmates got most of the press (Toews, Oshie, Chorney, Lee). You have kept working with a NEVER QUIT attitude. You a probably the hardest working class that I have ever seen. None of you have ever hesitated to do what is best for the team without any question, whether it be sitting on the sidelines for the first part part of your career, switching positions, moving into different roles or whatever else was needed to help this team. You have done what no other team has been able to do since 2004 - Win the league championship. Although a NCAA title gets more press, the WCHA championship is a MUCH harder task to accomplish and the only way to do it is to play unselfish and play as a team. You are the perfect example of what it means to be a Fighting Sioux. I feel so privilaged to have gotten to watch you for 4 years and because of you I have been extremely proud to say I am a Fighting Sioux fan. You have handled yourselves so incredibly both on and off the ice. Good Luck to all of you. You will always have a special place in Fighting Sioux history.

This is exactly what I was afraid of. I was really torn about who I wanted to win that game with Denver. I really really really DISLIKE Denver but I really didn't want to encourage their fantasy about being a "Hockey Dynasty"

The Duluth game will come on after the AF/VT game - which is going into its 2nd overtime.

I feel so sorry for the AF and VT players - Anderson and Hunt are the refs - an "almost" goal by VT was waved off and then after the peiod they decided to review it - I sure would have to have my fate in the hads of a Anderson/Hunt review - they did uphold the no goal on review.

Can anyone help me - I want to watch the duluth game on the internet (since I have midco I don't get ESPNU) and I have no idea how to do it or even if I can get it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks PS - ESPN is driving me nuts they are so excited that UND lost it's all they can talk about and then they added a replay of the game later on ESPNU. I would think there are bigger upsets than this - Say Air Force or Miami - those were #4 over #1

I hope the Sioux are remembering the .8 second tie up by Duluth last night. They need to play a FULL 60 minutes.

Absolutely nothing. It's just my own superstitions. At this time of year my logic goes completly out the window and totally unreasonable correlations and superstitions take over. I now am of the opinion that BU, Notre Dame and Northeastern lose and the Sioux are the lone "upper seed" to win out of saturday's regionals

I had fun with the Air Force upset and then the Miami upset and I even thought it was kind of fun that Yale got upset, but when it looked like the Dogz were going to get upset as well, I kind of got nervous about what that might mean for the Sioux tomorrow, so with the Dogz winning tonight I feel a little better and like the idea of the Sioux being the only "top" seed to make it out of the semis on Sat.

Off topic Mankato women just won the DII national bouncy ball championship 103-94.. Was a really wild game.
