Huh? NDSU sold out a game against Incarnate Word. You're not going to see many UND people in the Dome next year.

I think you're going to be disappointed by the atmosphere at the game next year. This not a big game...for NDSU.

You're right. It does reflect the good sense of the people of ND. Nevertheless, it's interesting...

It is interesting that, in a poll you posted, 76% of ND residents said that the Legislature should not mandate that the two teams play each other. I know, it's not that same thing as saying that two should not play each other. But 76% is a huge majority. And that was a scientific poll..

Your reading comprehension is weak. I never said that I was here to enlighten you...only that UND fans need enlightening. I couldn't care less if you get that needed enlightenment.

There is no such poll to link to...at least not that I'm aware of. This is based entirely on my experience as a Bison fan and the idea that NDSU administrators do listen to fans and supporters. If those fans and supporters had really wanted this game to happen it would have happened years ago.

I never said anything of the kind. What I said was that most Bison fans either aren't interested in, or oppose the game. And that very few Bison fans strongly support renewing the game.

Current NDSU students are a very small minority of NDSU fans.

Couldn't agree less. IMO, the UND game is not, and has never been, fun. The level of animosity is poisonous to both schools. "Fun" games are not about hatred and venom. NDSU's rivalry with SDSU is, for instance, 10X more fun than its old, tired, and toxic intrastate rivalry.

Actually one school won a national title, and the other won 8 national titles while they were playing each other. In any case, what's your point? I was responding to a post that said "nothing" beats a rivalry game. That's obviously not true.

Celebrating a National Championship beats the daylights out of a rivalry game.

Wow, NDSU fans don't like something until they try it? The two schools have played 110 times by my count. We've tried it ... we don't like it..

First, dream on! Second, there will be no attempt to cancel the 2019 game for any reason by NDSU. NDSU simply doesn't do that. Now, should NDSU have the chance to move up to FBS by then, I can definitely see UND canceling the game. That would fit their MO.

It's not true that only a few, but very vocal, "squeaky wheels" don't want, or are not interested in, a renewal of the game. Certainly not among Bison fans.

You must talk to a lot more NDSU fans than I do. In my experience, most NDSU Fans either don't care about the game, or don't want it. Very few have a strong desire to see the game played. The squeaky wheel does get the grease and there just aren't very many Bison fans squeaking for a UND game.

I agree. If Bison fans as a group really wanted this game it would have happened a long time ago. Most Bison fans are either luke-warm on the game, or are very opposed to it.
