  1. Fright? Really? I'm not concerned at all about how this game will affect NDSU's team. I doubt it will have any effect at all. On the field it's just another OOC game. I am, however, concerned about how it will affect UND's program. IMO, it will help them, and I do not want NDSU to help UND in any way. They made their own bed...
  2. That non-descript construction site may one day have a field, but it does not now have anything that could called a field anymore than it has walls or a complete roof. No reasonable person would use the plural "fields" when referring to that picture.
  3. Umm, your picture shows a field.
  4. We're talking about recruiting 18 year-olds. An appearance, or two, on national TV obviously.
  5. Nice picture...I like this one better: The advantages I was referring to really are obvious if you let yourself see them.
  6. Why don't you ask BigGame to elaborate? I'm just agreeing with him.
  7. They were surprised. They didn't realize UND was THAT desperate.
  8. I'm sure NDSU's current advantages are obvious even to you. No need to say anything more than that.
  9. It was an enormous screw-up.
  10. There is no purple font in your original post.
  11. Don't be ridiculous! This is the sort of offer a dominant program makes to a lower-level cream-puff...certainly not to an equal. The fact that UND accepted it is evidence of just how far UND football has fallen.
  12. Really? Are you suggesting that things never change? That what was true in the past will always be true in the future?
  13. Of course both team will continue to go up and down. Nevertheless, NDSU is creating advantages for its football team that will be hard for UND to overcome.
  14. IMO, it's much bigger now...no comparison. Like it or not, there is no assurance that UND can close the gap, especially with the schools in different conferences and not playing every year.
  15. Aren't you saying: "How things were in the past is how they will always be?"
  16. It may be comforting to believe that UND will inevitably be able to compete at the same level as NDSU...simply because the pendulum always seemed to swing back in the past. Unfortunately, there's no reason to believe that it actually will this time. The football gap between the two schools is greater now than it has ever been...NDSU has never had greater advantage than it does right now. If UND doesn't close that gap very soon, IMO, it may never be able to.
