I feel your pain. I moved back to NW ND a couple of months ago. I went with the local provider for cable just to get the Sioux Hockey games. Most of you don't realize this but these local providers don't give you a large selection of channels let alone HD channels. Also, in western ND you have to wait 4-6 weeks just to get cable hooked up. CBSSN isn't an option for my local provider. So, the option is to get direct tv, but then you miss out on midco games. The other thing is that just becasue Midco will broadcast in HD next year doesn't mean we are getting it in HD. Only MIDCO subscribers are guaranteed it in HD. At this point NCC and RTC have said they aren't switching the broadcast to an HD channel for next years games. I would assume other cable companies will be the same way.

So why do you shamelessly plug all the articles you write? There is another poster on this board who is a reporter who never plugs the articles he writes. Also, why would you contact UND not once, but twice regarding this matter? I would think if you had the trust and admiration of Mr. Greene and the rest of the Sioux players you would actually allow him to speak to the coaches first. Then they can handle the situation. I am sure they realized it would make news and they would have to issue a statement. Seems to me you weren't being objective and you were trying to become the story. I think you were afraid somebody would report it first. Especially after you said you knew a media source had the information in Warroad, because then you went and notified UND again. Also, if you notified USCHO at 5:48 then you waited a whole 9 minutes to plug your article on this board.

Guess again. I never said entire region, but you said hockey was non-existent as a sport. Not true. Once again you have probably never been in western ND, so you really have no idea what your talking about and can't make an informed decision about what is popular. If your above statement is true then it would also point out the flawed logic in your response....Just because you and your family and friends went to NDSU doesn't mean everybody is a NDSU FB fan. Also, my older brother went to NDSU. Believe it or not, but there is even people in northwest ND that have season hockey tickets for the sioux and they have had them for 20 years.

BFD123.... 19+5=24 13-5=8 So, the state really likes UND hockey more than NDSU football. BTW, I grew up in Northwestern ND and Sioux hockey is very popular in western ND. It is funny that you have probably never been in western ND, but you can tell people what is popular and what isn't.

Bob(RD17), I just want to say congrats on telling us who you are. I respect your opinion and sometimes I may not agree with what you say I think you are very knowledgeable. I respect your decision to inform us what you do. Sometimes people come on this board with an axe to grind and if we knew what they really did for a living we would understand why they say what they do. I work in an idustry that requires me to disclose what I do if I make certain comments, so I appreciate the fact you told us what you do.

The problem IowaBison is that you constantly talk about NDSU. You keep saying your posts are thought provoking and UND centered,but 40% of your posts you specifically mention NDSU. A larger percentage of your posts mention NDSU, Bison or you reference what your university is doing. Besides the fact on a earlier post you called us "Sue" fans which is an obvious below the belt shot. Then you have BFD123.......and his NDSU opponent in 2005 comment. We don't care what you are doing.
