Hey! It was my 1st game this yr & they sold out of programs early & with no names it was weird - & the guy next to me had one & I kept asking names
& the skill level of these new guys is awesome
Ones that stuck out to me are Oshie - Duncan - Toews - of course Lee (man what a long neck
) Kaip too
#2 Finley is huge & going to be a force to reccon with
I got to sit right on the ice in 103 & it was interesting, to get a up close look - but I prefer my 306 seats as far as seeing the entire game
older guys Smaby - Stafford & Perpich were fun to see up close

A Sioux warrior, Red Tomahawk participated in several tribal wars which stemmed from hunting to territorial disputes between tribes. However, with the signing of the treaty of Minehanska, all acts of hostility between whites and Indians were to be forgiven and forgotten. Red Tomahawk, the hostels' subchief, became a friend of the whites.we have tried to do this - why can't they ?

Mr. Common Sense R.I.P.
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Mr. Common Sense. Mr. Sense had been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such value lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge).
His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. - Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Mr. Sense declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student; but, could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge financial settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights and Ima Whiner.
Now we add this PC crowd & the NC$$

Those people in Lakota North Dakota must be some abusive hostile folks

I don't think issuing threats is the way to handle this. Native American's have been constantly threatend throughout the white man's occupation of this land. I think "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee" should be required reading of every freshman at UND. Perhaps this would help stilfe the feelings that threats are the only effective means to ones end... at least where it concerns the Native American's.

It was not a threat - it was Reality as in Fact They don't support us - I will not support them
-
Politics & Pressure
Sorry to me this is reality ....I lost a Hundred dollars out there recently & that won't happen again if they recind the use of the name & I hope most folks from Grand Forks & UND supporters give them that message big time

Fun to read

from here http://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/trib.../dakotahist.htmGen. Leavenworth stated that the Dakota informed him that the Sioux of the Plains never owned any land east of the Mississippi. -
Probably not the right place, but can anyone explain all the different variations on Dakota. Or Dacotah, or Dakotah, or ...
Is it a tribal dialect thing? It seems that the proper way is Dacotah, but most tribes display Dakota. At least on casinos.

It makes a HUGE difference - the few games Scott was not there were boring in comparsion
Also the music selections make the crowd more into the games - I think Hennon had alot to do with that too
Enjoyed him at the Excel Center too
Everyone wants more from the band.... but I got to say they are not that good or entertaining
