  1. How what?!

Your claim. As for your poll the responses came from kids who never had to walk anywhere in their lives. There is plenty of parking. It just is not at the front door. How far did you live from school and did you walk, bus, or get a ride. There is no lot further from a building than we had to walk to school everyday. Most are a lot closer.
  2. Run away? Again you don't get it. Why bother continuing? My examples, facts or propaganda will just be "trumped" by your BS then my turn then your turn...... Waste of my time.

Just as long as you don't go gfhockey on me..........or threaten to crack my skull with a bat.

    7 above now............

Make a disparaging remark about my late father and we will see. You never produced any facts. Simple rwn propaganda talking points yes.
  3. You seem to have changed your tune since you disagreed with my assertion that students pay more for education today than those that are retiring did. You implied that retirees paid roughly the same amount, after factoring in inflation. You also said that students should pay the actual cost of tuition instead of asking the takers (retirees) to pay for it. Will you admit that you were wrong?

You did not go back far enough.
  4. Could have built a bigger and cheaper one behind Achives Coffee House. More centralized location, closer to the Ralph, bigger footprint.

Student Gov't surveyed the students last week:

Q2. Do you consider parking availability at UND to be satisfactory or unsatisfactory?

    Satisfactory: 13.17%, 171 respondents

    Unsatisfactory: 82.43%, 1070 respondents

    N/A: 4.39%, 57 respondents

    How?
  5. Barnes and Nobles will not be on that list. I know it's just a diagram to show what could be. This town needs a Trader Joes and more than anything needs to expand groceries and fast causal restaurants on 42nd.

Development on the south of the town is needed, but that also applies to 42nd. You have tons of apartments and hotels going up. Also, development on 32nd needs to stop. It is the worst infrastructure while shopping or getting a bite to eat. I try to avoid that area on the weekends, but when one has to make a stop at Target, it is just a painful experience.

Highly unlikely to see a Trader Joes being the warehouse is in Chicago.
  6. I was teaching 6th grade in Warroad, MN at the time. Russia vs. USA game came on live on Canadian TV at 4:00 P.M., but my wife and I had to head to Mayville,ND for a wedding so I missed it. Heard the score at the top of the hill east of Oslo on I-29 and damn near drove off it. My wife couldn't understand why I was going nuts.

I think it was earlier because it was still light out when it was over. Good CKY TV. You should have gotten that by antenna in Warroad.
  7. The problem is, when things started going badly Sat. night, one of a couple of things should have been done. 1.) For the first time in years, someone should have gotten into a fight to fire up the team and turn the momentum back our way.

#11 was being a pain in the a** for example. Or Archibald for that matter, should you really get away "clean" w/ a hat

trick? In the early 90s we may have lost, but we at least roughed some people up before they left the building! And

yes, I know that this is a team where, unlike previous years, we don't really have any fighters, but if that's the case, the coach should come up w/ a different plan. . .like pull Saunders for the freshman after the 5th goal; could he

really been worse on breakaways than Saunders?. (Although stopping the cherry picking, B.C. breakaways might have been

another solution!) Or hell, OUR coach could have started throwing things and gotten kicked out of the game. Maybe that would have gotten through to these guys. Some one needed to wake them up during this game and no one stepped up, player or coach.

At the very least, there should have been some serious skating going on afterwards. It was a pathetic effort, all

    around.

Ok. That's my one "once every three years" rant. :)

    And a good one.
  8. Terrible produce, below average deli, average prices at best, dreary stores, poor at removing out of date products. One positive is that they have baggers and paper bags.

Edit: I guess that was two positives :silly:

Will go with you on the produce. Deli not really different than most stores elsewhere. Within 2 miles I have a Fry's (Krogers), Albertson's, and a Safeway and none are better than Hugo's. All more expensive by far. Cheapest and best produce can be found at the Mexican and Asian markets. By the way who are you comparing them to and where?
  9. Parking passes were $45 my freshman year and $145 my senior year..... all thanks to that stupid parking ramp located on the wrong side of campus.

I never thought it should have been built to start with. Even at $45 that really was lower than it should have been. How is it on the wrong side of campus? Where else should it have gone?
  10. FACTS FACTS FACTS FACTS FACTS...... USE THEM!

And what else has not gone up by much more? Blame the state legislatures for failing to fund higher education. You seem to think that I am in favor of how high tuition has gotten? Actually I dislike it as much as you do. I just don't vote for the people who caused it. It is wrong how much debt students have to take on to fund their education. Especially when the people that are causing it got their higher education at a nicely subsidized level that they now deny to others.
  11. Romney.......

    Righties........

No room for the imagination as to your leaning.

Got to go...back to work...to pump more of my dollars into a system that continually and increasing rewards laziness, unaccountability, irresponsibility and entitlement.

BTW...3 above now. Never question the mind that is All Gore!!!

I see you avoid answering. Typical response from the right. Through out as many rwn talking points...
  12. You must be trolling. If not, elaborate. I'm dying to know how showing up an hour and fifteen minutes before class makes me lazy.

Get there by 8 and there is a lot of parking available. Getting there after 9:00 when the ramp is always full you whine. You could have bought a gray permit and had a spot. You gambled and you lost by buying a blue permit. For 4 dollars a week more you would have had a spot. If you would have pulled up to the ramp at 10:00 you most likely would have gotten a spot. You are the one who came here whining they could not get a spot when they wanted it. Such is life. Find another spot to park in.

  13. Like before the last Presidential election with Benghazi?

    Got it......

Problem is all those constantly "taking" don't give a $#&@ about facts on any topic as long as they keep getting what's "owed" them.

    Carry on.........

Like BP? What did Romney build vs. what he took? Do you write off your therapy horse? We know all the righties who yake like there is no tomorrow don't care about facts. That is why when their facts are debunked by independent sources they still repeat them. Your concern with the number of embassy attacks under Bush and not CIA outposts is? By the way there was 13 of them and not a peep from Fox about them. Your concern of the 247 dead Marines in Beruit is?
  14. Hy-Vee needs to expand a bit farther north. They would absolutely blow away the pathetic local/regional chains in this area. Huge stores, great selection, quality breakfast/deli/Chinese food, dining room, gas stations.

I can only hope that the new Hugo's location will take a cue from its contemporary peers…the Grand Forks locations are relics of days long gone.

So you like shopping at those communist Hy-Vee stores?
