Re Poolman: I'm not convinced he's gone. If he's not, then bring in whichever two of Bast / Frisch are ready (most likely Bast, Frisch is just a Senior this year).
Won't Randklev and Stratton come next year too?

Throw it to McKinney or Griebel. They can probably get better separation than Toivonen anyway.

Our pass defense rank is way worse than I anticipated. Does the lost yardage of sacks get counted as negative rushing yards?

This is not an excuse - but maybe we target people with UND ties because they are more likely to accept the position for less pay than someone without ties to UND. We know the coaching salaries are not up to standard....

McKinney had one touch (called back by penalty) and showed some serious speed, burst, wiggle, etc. Hoping Rudy gives him some more touches in space.

Do we have a log jam of incoming recruits next year?
Incoming: Randklev, Stratton, and a bunch of likely draftees (Donovan, Caulfield, Rizzo, Blaisdell, Mancinelli), then what about Frisch and Bast?
Outgoing: Jones, Gardner, Janatuinen, Shaw, Poolman (Jr)......

I'm all for trying new line combinations, but at what point will the guys be allowed to develop some chemistry? Injuries aside, our lineup should be set by the last three weeks of the season. Hoping for some consistency this weekend.

I don't think the coaches value the Clive Georges type over the tall, possession-type guys. McKinney, Griebel, and Adeoti compared to Pifer, Lindgren, Bartosh, Stanley, Wanzek, Erbes, Toivonen. This years WR recruits [Maag (6'5"), Burian (6'4"), and Sickler (6'2")] appear to be in the possession mold also. Not saying I agree, just an observation.

Only 3 teams average more penalties per game than Omaha. Only 6 teams average more penalty minutes per game than Omaha. Enough said.
