After seeing the Ice Breaker Tournament in South Bend, I don't think it would have mattered if Notre Dame made the tournament the attendance in South Bend would have been low. To go with you're first point that's what I could see happening if this "Super Regional" idea ever happens.
-
I'd like to see the NCAA put regionals in arenas that can sellout or get close to selling out if it happens to be on-campus or a neutral site. If a regional has poor attendance then that arena shouldn't be allowed to host a regional again. One thing I'd like to see is one of the other Minnesota school's hosting a regional at the X then it always being Minnesota. I'd like to see the NCAA tournament expand to 24 teams giving the top two seeds in each regional a bye.
-
I don't like his regional take either.

I'm pulling for Penn State to be the only team coming out of the B1G.

Not surprised that Easton Brodzinski followed his brother to St. Cloud.

It's called the Gila River Arena now.

Sounds like it, Arizona will be the next Pac-12 school to move up.

Other Pac-12 schools are going to wait and see how Arizona State does in D1 hockey. Justin Emerson @J15Emerson · 1h 1 hour ago AD Ray Anderson said other Pac-12 schools are skeptical of hockey. In a "wait and see" state to see what ASU does

This is the second time Jayson Moy has done that for "attendance purposes" while also stating that Fargo is sold out.

Toronto and Montreal are getting the 2017 WJC. I think Pegula is the reason for Buffalo trying to keep all the international tournament that are hosted in the US in Buffalo.
-
Justin Emerson agrees that no chance Arizona gets the WJC. The Frozen Four could end up like the Anaheim one where no-one showed up.

I mentioned it on the NHL thread that the Arizona Coyotes along with Arizona State are bidding on a Frozen Four. http://www.houseofsparky.com/2015/2/5/7989235/asu-arizona-state-sun-devil-hockey-frozen-four-2019-2020-ncaa Kevin Allen @ByKevinAllen · 4h 4 hours ago Just told the Arizona Coyotes are bidding for the 2018 WJC and are planning to bid for a future Frozen Four. Justin Emerson @J15Emerson · 18m 18 minutes ago Anderson confirmed ASU’s interest in bidding on a Frozen Four, saying it only made sense after SB XLIX, CFP championship game, Final Four Justin Emerson @J15Emerson · 17m 17 minutes ago Anderson said ASU is interested in the 2019 or 2020 Frozen Four 2015: Boston 2016: Tampa 2017: Chicago 2018: Minnesota 2019: Phoenix? Justin Emerson @J15Emerson · 23m 23 minutes ago On a new arena, still plenty of options, with three main ones: 1) New, on-campus multipart facility 2) Off0campus rink 3) Renovate WFA

The Arizona Coyotes are bidding on the 2018 World Junior Championships and a Frozen Four. Kevin Allen @ByKevinAllen · 3h 3 hours ago Just told the Arizona Coyotes are bidding for the 2018 WJC and are planning to bid for a future Frozen Four. Detroit is also wanting to host the 2018 World Junior Championships and Buffalo want to host again. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/hockey/juniors/2015/02/05/world-junior-championships-2018-nhl-detroit-buffalo-pittsburgh-florida/22920031/ Get the World Junior Championships back at the Ralph and the second arena could be Scheels Arena.

I'm with you on that, The only positive is that Gary Thorne might be calling games the down side John Buccigross will be calling games.
