That would give UND for example 3 extra spots put them at 27 and 3 except spots for the goalies. If you carry more than 3 goalies, without losing one to an injury or out for a significant time because of an injury, the goalie takes up the extra spot. Air Force being an example because they carry 5 goalies. Next everyone will be wanting teams to have two extra players per game (1 forward and 1 defenseman). Mercyhurst also has, checks notes, 33 players 28 before you count goalies.
