  1. Boise State and Idaho played in front of 4,725 fans at the CenturyLink Arena in Boise. I'm actually impressed by the attendance number.
  2. Sounds like the North Star College Cup or "The Wooden Peg Leg" will be done this year. So the Gophers can't win it again and have been embarrassed by their fellow in state teams, so they decide to end it and lets be honest they won the first one in the most BS way to win it.
  3. Blais has an idea who UND is looking at and is trying to get them before UND does.
  4. I was hoping UND would get him, maybe if Hak was still here? I really think the time is coming to an end for Blais at Omaha. They are finding ways to win down there, but man they have played bad.
  5. Arizona State is not joining the WCHA. UNLV will move to ACHA D1 next season and will play in the Vegas NHL practice arena. UNLV has Foley that will fund part but not all of UNLV's NCAA D1 team. UNLV has 2 arenas that they could use as a NCAA D1 team. Arizona has a NCAA D1 caliber arena now, but the problem is lack of ice time/ice sheets in Tucson. For other Pac12 schools to make the investment Arizona State has to start winning. The really need to stop with this "we want to play the best teams" attitude and start playing teams they can beat. The Utah/Colorado situation It would be good for hockey in Colorado if both Colorado and Colorado State would join Denver and Colorado College in NCAA D1 hockey. But the both have arena issues. Utah has hinted to NCAA hockey and they could play where the ECHL team plays, arena might be too big but at least they have a arena close by. Utah Valley, BYU, and Webber State all have arenas that could be easily renovated to meet NCAA D1 standards (5,000 seats) Utah Valley and BYU could share the Olympics Arena and the Olympic curling venue is where Weber State plays and it could be renovated to add seating. Utah State has an arena that seats around 3,000. I'd like to see the following make the jump to the NCAA D1 (non-B1G, nothing against the B1G): Illinois State - They have the USHL arena there. Iowa State - ACHA D1 power house. Arizona - Has a NCAA D1 level arena. UNLV - Orleans Arena is where them most likely will play at. Utah - ECHL team there. Utah Valley - Olympic arena. BYU - Olympic arena. Pitt - It seems odd they don't have a NCAA D1 team with the Penguins being good. Cincinnati - the City has hosted the NCAA tournament and Miami being close to them. If they had a NCAA D1 team maybe the NCAA regionals would have more fans there. Missouri - Like Iowa in prime area for recruiting USHL/St. Louis. Missouri State - Same as Missouri for recruiting out of the USHL and St. Louis. Lindenwood - St. Louis and USHL close got recruiting and there is a 10,000 seat arena not far from the school. Montana State/Montana - I'd like to see them have hockey teams but until they have an arena won't happen. NDSU - I know they say it will never happen, I still think with UND hosting NCAA regionals in Fargo they will see a money opportunity that they would like to get their hands on.
  6. Well in the USA Today/USA Hockey poll the B1G has 3 and the NCHC has 4.
  7. Then why bring up the top 16? Why not just say the top 20? Western Michigan is 18th, yet them and Omaha are in the top 16 in the PWR and Michigan isn't. Once the B1G tournament comes around the B1G will be looking at 2 teams getting in, Conference games is what will be the problem in the B1G yet again.
  8. Didn't realize the USCHO.com poll is how they pick the NCAA tournament. Oh Michigan would be out if the NCAA tournament started today going by the USCHO.com poll.
  9. I'll wait until they start conference games before I'll agree with you on that.
  10. Except the Flyers GM and Coach want their 3rd round pick in net not on the bench.
  11. This is in Non-UND College hockey thread, not really college hockey expansion news anymore for ASU.
  12. Coyotes building new arena on ASU campus.
  13. UND should have swept Minnesota too.
  14. Coyotes building a new arena at ASU and a 4,000 arena next to the Coyotes arena. http://www.12news.com/mb/sports/nhl/coyotes-announce-new-arena-in-tempe/351746640
  15. Goaltending is their big issue. Other then that might not be good as the last few years.
  16. Latest is the old golf course at ASU. Its been kept very quiet.
  17. BC beats ASU 3-1 I'd expect that to be more lopsided.
  18. They have only one set of Haviland's recruits, I'm sure Haviland is a good coach, just don't have the players he needs yet. Does CC made a trip to Denver and hand Gwoz a big giant check? I'd like to see Gwoz there. CC needs to get back to winning and making the NCAA's like Michigan Tech, I'd like to see those two teams win another National Title.
  19. St. Cloud beats CC 4-1
  20. Bemidji beats Mankato 2-1 OT
  21. If a six game winless streak doesn't get you to make a change from the net out, then nothing will. The only reason I can think of why Tomek isn't getting a chance is his grades. The PP needs to stop going through Brock, but there is more then that wrong with the PP. Cam we are seeing is the Fargo Force Cam.
  22. Duluth isn't as good as everyone makes them, could have swept them. Minnesota is not a good team, just look at the St. Cloud game, should have swept them. Denver is a complete team and this could have been a sweep or a split. St. Cloud is not the St. Cloud that we've see the last few years, should be able to sweep them next weekend, but with how the guys have been playing last in the NCHC could happen.
  23. Duluth beats Western Michigan 2-0 St. Cloud leads CC 4-1
  24. Need to blow up the PP and PK and come up with something new with different players. Cam is an average goaltender, Play Tomek or Matt and maybe it will spark the team. These guys should have at least one loss on the year at the most.
  25. I'd like to see them not put Brock out on the PP, just see how the #1 unit goes without Brock on it.
