They're grasping at something. I don't see what their claim is in their reply to Kennedy's letter. It's hard to support/agree with someone when the thing they are upset about isn't there. I'd like to hear their plain on how to fund the women's hockey team. They have some free time and $70.000 each now, this feels like there will be more coming.

The B1G has been putting women's hockey on BTN so more money for UND to try and get out of them. I heard the extra $2 million isn't true.

Unless the B1G gives out $100 million to members to start a program it's not happening with B1G money.

The schools without hockey would just use the money for their other sports, and all but 2 need a major donation like Penn State.

Because if UND was getting BTN money they would be able to keep the women's team and not cut any sports.

Any money that B1G schools get from the B1G is going to existing sports and facility upgrades. Nebraska still needs to payoff their new arena. Unless a school in the B1G gets a big donation they are not adding hockey. UND just cut women's hockey that should tell you they are not joining the B1G. A school that want in the B1G is UConn.

If you are going to do a showcase, do it with 4 teams from two different leagues and do it in places like Winnipeg. So 4 NCHC teams and 4 WCHA teams and have 4 games a day (Friday and Saturday). If UND want to play Bemidji every year then add in Mankato. One game in Bemidji (Friday) then in Mankato (Saturday). Then you. An get in two other WCHA team like Michigan Tech (Friday) then Northern Michigan (Saturday).

Minnesota fans are not showing up because they don't want to be in the B1G for hockey, and North Dakota isn't going to change that. The only positive of joining the B1G for hockey is to get BTN money and they will say that UND has their Midco deal and we won't share any BTN money.

None of the current B1G members want to add hockey, the only exception is a guy who use to be the general manager of Rutgers hockey team.

Reusse was talking about how Rutgers should be kicked out for not wanting to travel it Minnesota last weekend(?) because of a storm out East. It sounded like they all don't care for Rutgers being in the B1G I've heard Rutgers called the B1G's FCS team.

Reusse just rambles the whole time. Nothing about who will join the B1G in all sports, just hates having worthless Rutgers in the B1G. I didn't hear anything about $5 million, just its going to take a lot of money they don't want to part with. Reusse was just getting his info from the Gopher Illustrated story. Reusse is hard to listen to and probably should just retire, unless he's better then that normally. (Did DaveK call in?)

It sounds like there are some Notre Dame fans that will not follow the hockey team because they are going to the B1G.

Just Western Michigan and Miami talking about it. Brad pretty much shot it down and said the guy had a lot of things wrong.

So, where is all this "UND to the B1G" or "UND was offered by the B1G" talk that was suppose to happen during the regionals.
