There needs to be a rule for hosting regionals, if a team hasn't been in the NCAAs since 1990 they cannot host a regional. If a regional doesn't have an average attendance for the weekend of 10,000 to 15,000 (scanned tickets). Then that site shouldn't be able to host a regional again.

As long as UND keeps bidding Fargo and Sioux Falls they will get regionals.

Didn't put in for a regional, NCAA night still think it's Omaha's home arena, so no regional.

Maybe, there are things I'd like UND to have to make the fan experience better and get recruits (the on-ice projection system, the same system for basketball and football). There are sports I'd like UND to have (lacrosse), but there will be an outcry for cut sports to be added first. If he was willing to write a check to UND to fund the team and what else goes with it for title IX, why wouldn't they take the offer. Chipman could be someone who could help finish the HPC.

I find it hard to believe that UND would turn down someone willing to give them $60 million like Brad said or made it seem that Chipman was going to do for the women's team.

Baseball use to be Americas "past time." It has it's popular areas in the US, but it has taken a hit in popularity over the years. When teams are bad, and there seems to be way more bad teams then good teams, no one cares about those teams. Brewers were getting all the hype when Braun was using PEDs now you don't here much about them, Pittsburgh was a joke until the last two years. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, yet it is the 5th most popular in the US.

I'd say it's passed baseball, then again what would be in the top four? Football, basketball, hockey, baseball (hockey and baseball could be interchanged), soccer (only during the World Cup for men's and women's and women's during the Olympics). That's pretty much it.

The future USA hockey players was a good one. UND only wants Euro Olympians. On a side note, I don't see Shelby making the Olympic team. They will take the World Championship goalies or Vetter some how will make the team.

You could also take the tweet as Chipman and his group could invest in the program. I'm waiting for the lawsuit to happen.

It's a better idea then what they have come up with so far, which is nothing.

If the team was doing what Duluth, Minnesota, and Wisconsin do in the NCAAs (win titles) people would show up. I'm sure that the attendance starts to decrease once it looks like they have to win the WCHA to make the NCAAs. Losing $2 million is the reason why people agree with UND cutting the sport. It sucks that it happened but it had to be done. The ladies need to start being proactive in finding a way to get money instead of stomping their feet and draging the University, that they love, through the mud. The women's team could make some money by sell ad space on their jerseys.
