Based on the stats link provided by UNDsports, we swept SIU-Edwardsville 25-17, 25-17, 26-24.

Lost 28-26, I believe.

Pacific now calls TO - UND trails 19-17
-
4th set - UND trailing 19-15

Not a very good showing - lost 25-13. Hopefully Pryor has some adjustments up his sleeve.
-
Another UND TO - trailing 16-9
-
UND TO - trailing 11-6

Pacific takes set two, I believe the score was 25-17.

If I am hearing correctly, the radio announcer is calling us the "Champions" for a team name. Maybe he's on to something?! "Champions" win 25-21.
-
TO UND. SIoux had a 21-14 lead, but cut to 22-19, I believe.

Pacific TO - 18-13 UND lead

Some impressive statistics from the NCAA:
Faith Dooley leads the nation in blocks, with 68.
Nikki Husfeldt is third nationally in assists, with 477.
McKenzie Hart is sixth nationally in digs, with 229.
Lexi Robinson is 15th in total attacks, with 443.
In per set statistics, UND is much lower.
A bad statistic for UND: they are one of the worst teams in the nation for scoring aces.
Cool stats. We probably have played more sets than other good teams, so our overall statistics would tend to baloon. As for the aces - not serving aces doesn't bother me that much, as long as other teams aren't serving aces against us.

Good weekend for the girls. Too bad we couldn't give Iowa an even harder run for their money.

Didn't we play at 5 today? Any results?
-
Anybody got an update on the game?
-
I'm not following the stats - who's playing well?
-
Are you there Darrell, or just following stats?
-
Anybody going to be reporting live from Brookings tonight? I was thinking of going for tonight and tomorrow (especially wanted to see the Iowa game), but decided the week had been hectic enough without a road trip.

Regarding serving - from what I've seen, serving isn't a big advantage, and doesn't seem to be emphasized in the college game. I have played recreational volleyball, and serving can be a huge advantage, especially if your serve is a curveball and tough to receive. From what I see at UND games, no player (from any team) has a really tough serve to receive. I have watched college volleyball on TV, and there are some players with nasty jump serves, but not many. I agree with nodak651 that the receiving team has the first chance to set up the offense.

I know I will have no say in the new nickname (still not sure if I want one), but I absolutely DO NOT want an animal. I want something that describes the people of North Dakota, which is why I find "Warriors" or "Brave" the most appealing. Brave Warriors?
