  1. Wait a second, are you telling me that UND and NDSU compete at the same ncaa level?
  2. I'm sorry. I cannot respect Herd's position. If UND goes out and wins the next 3 national championships, I would still want the game to be played because the rivalry is bigger than the idea that the moment one school has a bit more success they can pretend like they have better things to do.
  3. Brian Murphy ‏@murphsturph Idaho State Board approves Idaho's motion, 5-1. Idaho can go to Big Sky in football without coming back to the Board.
  4. Okay, I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist, but does anyone find it odd that the University of Idaho AD tweeted that the vote was only "to only EXPLORE independent football and Big Sky membership...nothing official." The capitalized letters courtesy of Rob Spear, not myself. Why would the AD feel the need to put that out there and then on top of that place emphasis on the word EXPLORE. Maybe, I'm just grasping at straws, who knows. Perhaps this last breath of speculation on my part will be put to rest when the next statement is released. Either way, I am absolutely happy that UND is part of the Big Sky, but intrigued about what the possibilities of a WAC/Big Sky merger could offer.
  5. Aside from winning the most recent championship, I would say that a big factor of why NDSU football would stand out from UND is that UND has been stuck in transition and as an obvious result the level of excitement surrounding the program has not been there. Pre-transition I would not place NDSU football ahead of UND in popularity. Perhaps in ticket sales, as you might expect from a larger metropolitan area. Post-transition, I think you will see the excitement come back for UND football. Simply stated, the Bison have to compete with the Sioux for football popularity, but the same is not true for hockey.
  6. According to latest reports, Trouba family has stated that there was no such offer and that Jacob will be attending U Mich next year.

  8. I seem to recall another game played later that year for which I am sure you would trade that Griz win for in a heartbeat.
