  1. I also figured we would go on a nice run because the teams we play over this stretch are not good whatsoever. However, the real test will be how we close against those good teams. We need to put ourselves in a position to succeed in the playoffs (which I believe we will make, our team is relatively good). That home stretch is scary though, however in looking the the NCHC's record against other conferences, it isn't good. That won't help us much.
  2. I think USA can repeat. Love this tourney!
  3. Saban isn't going anywhere and Texas would have never won that game.
  4. I get frustrated with certain things Hak does too however when has this program been a .500 team? What I meant is that you cannot fire a man that has his resume….unless the program takes a serious slide and that does not mean a losing season (or two). This team has a long way to come in winning a Natty this year however I somewhat like what I see. This team has had its ups and downs but they are a good team. There is not one player on this team that should leave (besides seniors) so I think we can build off this year. I seriously think we will be very dangerous next year.
  5. Yeah makes sense….why not rotate Stetcher then? I know Stetcher is solid but I thought Keaton looked just as good last night.
  6. Super confused…..Keaton has looked solid. Also, is St. Clair hurt again?
  7. 6 was just a number I threw out there. What I meant was I would finally like them to play 60 minutes and beat teams line UM, BC, ND and other teams do. Yes I fully understand the parity in college, but once in a while our team (comprised of 15 draft picks) should be able to beat up on some lower tier schools. I didn't mean to get in this convo because we are on a 4 game win streak and I am pumped about that. Once the consistency comes and we get all our boys back I think we can hang with any team on the country, they simply need to go hard every game out.
  8. No there motivation has been lacking for two years now.
  9. I agree completely.
  10. I agree as well, he had been a great recruiter but some if his game plans as well as his ability to motivate his players has been somewhat lackin over the years. That said, he's going no where so get used to it. The boys looked ok last night against a garbage team. They need to drop 6 on them tonight. Let's get Zane the shutout.
  11. Phil did the same thing:
  12. Wait so if they are in the crease then they can't screen the goalie...makes sense I guess...why do t they simply call it an in the crease penalty then?
  13. These refs are an absolute disgrace to real hockey fans everywhere.
  14. Wow that looked good to me.
  15. I honestly am so confused by this team....no matter who they play it's either a game, or we get crushed. Can we ever just beat some team up???
  16. I was trying to tell the original poster that the shootout loss (to MSU) does matter as MSU gained an extra point by winning that game. Nationally it goes down as a tie but within the Big10 it does matter. However UMN will take down the conference so in all reality it probably won't mean much. But.....a shootout win, thus the extra pt, does actually matter.
  17. I am actually not against shootouts, although I am not the biggest fan either (indifferent), however I am so confused why they didn't mimic the NHL and add a 4x4 OT period first. This would end a decent chunk of games before they get to the shootout.
  18. Ok, got me there. I was trying to make a point that the shootout loss actually matters. You noted the game (thus that extra point) did not matter whatsoever.
  19. Agreed. A loss to NMU would be detrimental as I believe they are struggling in their own conference.
  20. They're lucky their schedule has eased up.
  21. You are correct....and so was I.
  22. I'm with you, let Murphy figure it out. All that's happening is confidence loss. Mitch, on the other hand, simply isn't a D1 hockey player. Well he is, but he shouldn't be.
  23. Dave, it should have been a penalty. However, he didn't deserve what he got. Either way he was hitting Louie, the puck simply took a weird bounce off the wall.
  24. Actually Louie was going to attempt to catch the pass off the wall....he was going to get hit either way. I can definitely see what Orpik was trying to do...he just made a wrong call. Did Louie have the puck...no. However, it doesn't mean the puck wasn't sent to him nor was he not trying to catch the pass. The passer's angle was simply wrong and it went behind Louie. Should there have been a penalty called on Orpik....100% yes, interference. Did Orpik deserve what he got, no. Also, your comment regarding "the puck wasn't anywhere near him" is 100% false.
  25. hahaha
