I'm pretty sure he received a pro offer after his freshman year. I'm assuming he'll get one this spring as well. He definitely needs another year so I'm assuming he doesn't leave. I think he is much better than most on this forum.

That's a pretty thin D core. On a side note, is Gabe Bast playing junior B hockey? Looks as though he has 0 points in 5 games since joining the Surrey Knights. I really hope that there is a technical glitch on elite prospects.

Depends on what's really going on with him. Everything they are saying is it's lower body. I initially thought it was a concussion issue but I guess it's not. When he plays he's pretty good.

Exactly, Berry does a great job. However high enders on average will be better than the later round or undrafted guys. UND definitely hit on a few guys several years ago but you can't expect every over ager that comes in to be the next stecher. If that was the case bubs would be making the big big bucks in the NHL. It seems many of these higher end kids went elsewhere the last few years. As noted before we have some really nice dmen in the pipeline they are just a few years away. In the short term we'll be working with more of a "team" mold. Like most other schools we play against

Wolanin was a nice get. Since schmaltz we haven't had any high enders though. We do have a few in the pipeline but they're out a ways.

Stecher actually didnt have it from the get go. His first couple games he looked ok (skated well) but he too had his down games. One of the dumbest posts I have had was saying that Stecher should have been the odd man out starting his sophomore year. Solely because he wasnt that great his freshman year. He got man handled in front of the net towards the end of the year. Obviously that all turned around his sophomore year; he got confidence and put on 20 lbs.

I agree...I think he's a decent freshman. 4 year guy most likely. He had some struggles in a couple of early games and he was written off. By the time he's a senior/junior he's going to be solid.

Agreed. Sometimes you have to be careful looking at the Canadian Junior leagues as the depth isnt there (from team to team) as there are so many team/leagues. For comparison's sake, Peski put up similar numbers at a much younger age than Rieger. Peski's numbers went drastically down when he went to the USHL. And Rieger is older than Peski right now. This was a depth move as we are going to be pretty thin on the back end after this year. You never know though...could be a late bloomer I guess, that keeps developing. He must have something though or Berry wouldn't have given him an offer.

Good post, but you really have to start looking at the recruiting classes from when Quinn took over. This guy is a recruiting wizard. The program was falling pretty quick in those later Parker years...from a consistency perspective. BU is going to be rolling them in next year too.

We're still a really good college team, just inconsistent. They'll figure it out soon. Too inconsistent to win a title but they might make a nice run in the tourney. They just need to get there.

BU has like 6 first rounders this year and a second. They also have JFK and greenway who were second rounders last year and hickey who's a beast. Also, their goalie will most likely be a first or second next year. Forget age...they're jacked. There's a huge difference in potential between and 1-2 rounder and a 4th +. We have no where near their potential. Not a great comparison.

The boys didn't look good this weekend plain and simple. The seasons not close to over (as some like to think) however they need to keep chugging ahead. Duluth dropped a game to St. Cloud last weekend and got had against CC the weekend before. We should have at least been able to draw a split. Unfortunately they played terrible Friday and Saturday they were snake bit while also missing two top six forwards. We're ok.

Why? Jost and boeser won't do much in the NHL next year. Maybe jost I guess. They'll just lose a lot. As of now both should come back next year.
