Well the U-18 team won gold and now it truly is decision time for Seth. I suppose in the next week or two we will know if we got him or not.

Man Seth is good. Getting him would be totally huge for UND but not counting on it. If he goes to UND many schools r going be saying. Damn I wish we had a chance at this kid. What ever happened to Seth's older brother and I believe he also has a younger brother that plays hockey? Come Seth choose The Sioux
I would love if we could land Seth but I have a fishy feeling that he plans to go WHL because he will feel like it is the fastest path to the NHL.

Conferences could care less how far a certain school has to go. Penn State's closest conference tournament will be in Detroit, which is a 7-8 hour drive. They want the arena that will sell the most tickets. The ONLY 4 options the NCHC will be considering, IMO, are REA, Omaha, and the Target Center with a possible visit to the X every other year.
Just my 2 cents.
From a business standpoint this makes sense. I know I have green colored glasses but I have never understood why REA is not talked about as much for a possible option to host. I know other options may be more attractive but I would find it hard to believe they couldn't fill the arena for most games.

Kind of think it will be Eades but hope it is Guentzel. It will probably be neither.

He is a huge prospect and he has cut his choices down to either UND or the WHL, he is supposed to be a for sure top 5 pick in the 2013 NHL draft.
You can probably even find some people who say he could go 1 or 2 as well.

One thing that will be interesting is to see what happens to Kato's assistant coaches. Blue and I can't recall the other. Blue's contract expired with Juttings next year and the other coaches was this summer. In watching the Press conference I think it was the ad who said whoever the coach is I hope that he keeps the two assistants. Will that be apart of any contract? Perhaps not but could get interesting. From what I understand both are solid coaches.

I too agree and I am perhaps guilty of being harsh on Lee which looking back on it was probably in poor taste. I do agree that he certainly was not the worse defenseman we have seen and actually did a pretty good job. Was it 1st round? That I suppose is debatable. I do agree with geaux_sioux about the heart. I don't care if you are a walkon or a 1st rounder if you come to UND you better have heart, enough said. I am not sure if the Sioux coaches were looking or offered Jon Lee a scholly but I think the way it turned out we were probably better off without him.

The last 10 years BC has done a fantastic job in the tournament. They are a good team but lets not forget last year they got smoked by CC when they had to leave their beloved Worcester Regional. They are a good team with a great coach but parity will find its way to smack them in the face sooner or later.

Schlossman tweeted a few days ago that the coaches really liked the way Senkbeil played at forward and would probably keep him there. Also does anyone know if DiPuma went to school and is still with the team?
DiPuma is taking classes but not sure on his status with the team.

He may not have had as much interest with only 1 real good year in the books after not having a lot of acclaim before that.
I believe he was offered a contract by Montreal but decided against signing but I am not privey to the details of that offer. Could it have been more or less than what he is currently being offered. Yes. I guess only Dell knows that.

I guess my thoughts for today are we will probably hear something on Dell and perhaps Kristo today. Yesterday UNDSID said he expects to hear a few more things from a couple more Sioux players after Brock signed but the end of the day passed and UNDSID said no more news for today. I expect to hear something on someone today.

Didn't see this until now. Yes expect him to sign haha. My buddy teaches Dell and he brought pizza to class for the students today and Dell wouldn't eat any because he's "On a very strict diet."
The players are still in their usual 2 week off period, so the strict diet thing raised a red flag to me.
He is more than likely gone. Last week I said Kristo was the only one who I thought was leaving early then Brock leaves and now word of Dell and I am sure Kristo is not far behind. I am happy for these guys but hope they don't think the grass is always greener on the otherside. Sometimes these things don't work out like we hope and want them to. Brock would have had a monster year if he had stayed and been healthy and would have probably been top 3 in scoring in the nation if not number 1. In my opinion he needed to stay one more year to add the muscle to that skill. Anyways good luck Brock.

Well this is the Final Four week and I just thought I would add my predictions and see if anyone else would perhaps guess who they think will come away Champion this weekend.
BC v UM I am going with BC on this one. They know how to get it done when they get to this point.
Union v Ferris I am going with Union in a very close game. Perhaps OT
Championship Game BC v Union
As much as I hate it, BC will be champ once again but would welcome anyone other than Minnesota to win it.

Yes, Saunders will have better defense in front of him as a benefit; however, and conversely, he'll be facing better offenses and shooters which could work against him.
That's why my assumption was that the save percentage holds (no better, no worse).
That makes sense. I think however you want to slice it he will be a solid #2 if Dell comes back.

It is a great one as anything talking about that great achievement by the boys is going to be good. I like "Through These Doors" I just wish it was longer than 10-15 minutes. I tend to keep saying "I want more" but I also understand the time commitment. It would be awesome if this became a half hour show.

It is totally reverse psychology. I would say our chances of landing him are better than 1%. If that was the case he would have never come on an official visit. We have just as good a chance as Everett and it really probably comes down to a few reasons why one way or the other.
