  1. Look, I'm as disgusted as anyone that STA rolls through class A, but H'town gave up a 4-2 lead in the 3rd period. There were plenty of chances for them to win that game.

That said, if that STA player doesn't hold/interfere with the Hermantown player, the H'town guy clears the zone and they go to OT. It was particularly bad when a soft holding call was called on H'town to put STA on the power play in the first place. Then the H'town player gets absolutely mugged, and if he doesn't keep his balance like he did, and flops like the STA kid did to draw the earlier penalty, it is H'town on the PP in OT.

Not like it matters, but I see STA going the way of Holy Angels anyway.

    Agree too.

  2. I loved how he went after them and stuck up for his team and can't wait to see his press conference. It was really a shame for the refs to take the game away from Hermantown like that and you could kind of feel it coming as soon as they gave STA the powerplay. If you are gonna call one of those a hold you have to call the other one too. I think my hate level for STA is at an all time high right now.

    Agree.

  3. Me and my wife have a cat. She is declawed in the front and never leaves the house. Letting your cat run around outside is irresponsible and causes a lot of problems for a lot of people. It's also not good for the kitty; they can get run over, attacked by predators, get diseases from other animals, ect. Some people in our neighborhood last summer let their cats run around and they would come up to the windows of our townhouse and look in, which drove my cat crazy. I had to go outside at 5am and chase them away. Thankfully, the winter cold has put a stop to that (until it warms up, that is).

Bottom Line: Don't let your cat (or dog) run around outside without a leash and listen to Bob Barker and spay or neuter your pets. Our animal shelters are crowded enough as it is.

My kids' sandbox would appreciate it.

  4. I think a kid who was going to play bb would play bb. A kid who was going to play video games play video games. Maybe more kids don't play or quit is because they do not like living their parents childhood over for them under the guise that they are getting more opportunities than their parents had.

As a hockey parent I can relate. You know you're not supposed to be "That Parent" but still become overbearing. Tough thing to turn off sometimes. We forget who the game is for.
  5. I read craving instead of carving on you post. He's still a garbage coach. The only time he's won is when he's had enough talent to overcome his ineptitude.

Fair enough. Still don't agree, but thanks for the correction.
  6. If you knew anything about how he's running centrals program you'd realize that the entire post was sarcasm. Maybe leading off with Melrose wasn't sarcastic enough. Should I have gone with don cherry?

    Your next response.
  7. That was the joke. He's an all time terrible hockey coach at any level which is why I used an ironic double negative. Since he's run centrals program into the ground saying he knows how not to run a program into the ground is a joke.

Got it, stuck up for him immediately.
  8. What about Barry Melrose? Or Tony Bina? I say Tony Bina, he knows how to not run a proud program into the ground.

Ya, I got the sarcasm. You said I didn't understand it in a successive post, which was confusing. Yes, I was defending Bina and Hak. By the way, are you sure you can stop both ways? Did you graduate high school as well? Spose you played for Central and a won state title every year you played.
  9. If you knew anything about how he's running centrals program you'd realize that the entire post was sarcasm. Maybe leading off with Melrose wasn't sarcastic enough. Should I have gone with don cherry?

Actualy I'm a little confused. You used a double negative to describe Bina's tenure at GFC which threw me off. I'm well aware of the Central program and it's status.
  10. if my post bothers him maybe he is in the wrong position. I doubt his skin is as thin as some of the posters here.

Relax, I was just giving you a hard time. They stunk it up tonight, no doubt. I actually switched games in the third. That game was much better along with the audio and video quality. They lost too.
  11. God I hope BU bounce the goofs.....for many reasons

One end of the spectrum wants to see the goofs watching more hockey at the excel

The other end is that I don't like the thought of a good quality pissed off UM team.......

Plus if they possibly could get us the mindless masses of gooferville would hang a banner and pop their jerseys about it for years

I hear ya. I would've rather had Cornell than WMU also. However, we're getting it done at the moment. I was hoping for UND to be in that 5 spot but none of my pairwise predictor outcomes would allow it. That would have moved us out to the east, which is no doubt the easiest bracket.
