Truly incredible effort by both teams last night. After going toe-to-toe for 2.5 games, anyone could have won it.
Heartbreaking watching UND lose twice last night.
Terrible feeling knowing that a 48-11-5 record the last two seasons produced one NCAA playoff win against college hockey titans, the American International Bumblebees.
Sandy 12-1 in last 13 NCAA playoff games. One Massachusetts team between him and Duluth's shot at a fourth straight title game.
Had really anticipated the Fargo, North Dakota Regionals in 2015 (UND), 2017 (Duluth), 2019 (Denver), and 2021 (Duluth) to be a bigger boon for UND's frozen four chances.
Every player has eligibility next year, right? Unfinished business??

It’s pretty even in my estimation.
Right. Unlike Michigan 2011, its a lot more even tonight, but still not sure we're been playing the better game.

Not really the same thing, but I understand what you are saying.
Right. We were clearly the better team. Shots were, what? 40-20 Sioux.
Not sure we're the better team tonight.

Sandelin 11-1 in his last 12 NCAA playoff games.

Toews 3rd overall.

Hain penalty. Worst call I've seen all weekend.

My favorite weekend of the year.
Can't believe April 9, 2016 was the last time we won a playoff game ...

Bobby and all 1 of his goals this year?
Durf and his ‘stache have more goals and a higher shooting percentage ...

How about goaltending? Scheel or Johnson? Who do you think is better?
Scheel.
Johnson put up some incredible stats (4 SHO in a row) and was instrumental during the championship run. But I also remember him getting yanked during some head scratching performances like when he only saved 10 of 13 shots against Jan Brady; 8 of 11 against Colorado College; or 1 of 4 against Western Michigan during the same season.

Hope a dman doesn't go down, alot games with no extra dman to spare.
Right?
UND was so loaded at defense this year that Tychonick needed to transfer, there was no room for Luke Reid, and Rieger would need to play forward to see ice time. Now, Riegers slotted to play the next 9 straight games.
JBD and Kierstad 30 minutes each game rest of pod. Get Frisch's minutes up there, too.
Go Sioux.

He was only here for 8 appearances in 2006-2007 according to Google. Would have been Phil's junior year I believe.
Right, Grieco only played his Freshman year, but he left right after the start of his sophomore season, 2007-2008. https://www.nhl.com/news/north-dakota-backup-goaltender-anthony-grieco-returning-to-ohl/c-373597

Completely agree on that one. I held my breath JPL's senior season. If anything had happened to him it would have been Aaron Walski or Landon Snider.
Agree as well. I think UND started 2007-2008 with Anthony Grieco, who came in as a highly recruited 17-year old, but he left and went to the OHL shortly after the start of the year.

Just sent my first disparaging e-mail to Sidearm . . . Wtf. Year after year NCHC.TV continues to be a joke.
I sent 6 regretfully, brutal, disparaging e-mails/tickets in a row to Sidearm. It finally started working on my firestick after the sixth e-mail. Don't know if they're related, but this company is still a joke.

Sanderson misses the first full Omaha series, too. So that's 9 games minimum. If Sanderson's a one-and-done, do we even see him in a UND jersey more than 20-25 times?

For a fan base that routinely ignores and changes the actual lyrics (Home of the Sioux, amirite?), I'm surprised to see anyone's feathers ruffled by players choosing to take a knee during that same song.

Flynn is an embarrassment. He was our National Security Advisor, and it only took the President 22 days to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He pled guilty to those lies.

pre trail always a diversion. Keeps the defense off guard. If you were playing poker and you placed a big bet and a bystander says I don't believe show me your cards. would you?
Poker and litigation follow different rules. In litigation, there's discovery---where you show your cards before trial.

5-4 or 6-3?
If I set the over-and-under at 5.5 vs 3.5 what would you take?
Sticking with the spirit of polar divisions in our country, I have to say it'll be 5-4 sometime in December (God, I hope by December), I am just not sure which candidate gets the 5 and which gets the 4.
My bigger concern is how the losing candidate's fan base reacts to the decision.

Listen for them.
You’ll hear them in nearly every major media outlet.
Someone is setting a narrative (aka programming your brain for you). For sure. When the Daily Show was entertaining, Jon Stewart would often juxtapose dozens of short clips of media talking heads uttering the exact same, although unique, phrases. (Wish I had a clip). Those unique phrases would then become part of our daily lexicon.
As you say, its as if someone in the shadows is literally setting a narrative. Kind of scary that hardly anyone realizes it.

3 NCAA championships last decade and going for #4 in the last 11 years.
The real University of Minnesota hockey team plays in Duluth.
From now on, the team 2 hours south needs to adopt the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Golden Gophers moniker.
