  1. Why would Kocour be unreasonable. We have a lot of success in that area.
  2. Not actually I just want good secondary play. We need sack city to actually exist again before making another sign.
  3. I've got my no fly zone sign ready.
  4. That's why I said fat weak and slow. I had a few teammates that were just plain fat athletes. Looked like garbage but had the feet of a ballerina and were monsters on the field. I'm saying those fat weak and slow guys weren't dedicated. You can't change your body type but it's not like every lineman has to be fat. The bottom line is they are tough smart good players. If you look at Stockwell Miller and Bell they are all lean athletic linemen with a serious mean streak. We need more of that.
  5. By far my favorite thing about him on film is his build. He's nice a lean. We've had a few too many guys with less than desirable body densities on our OL. Aka fat weak and slow.
  6. Either way it's nice to know that a player who was obviously good enough to play here had to be turned away because we ran out of room at his position. That wasn't the case even 3 years ago.
  7. To get down into his stance he needs to arch the lumbar portion of his spine. That's a sign of hip stiffness. If he fixes that he'll be able to plow people without having to lean too far forward and possibly get swam. Being able to sink the hips is essential for every position in every sport.
  8. Didn't look bad. Some major flexibility issues though.... Those need to be fixed his rs year. Stiff hips and heavy feet, must be a guard. Also holy !@#$ his OL was huge for a hs team.
  9. May need to wait about 15 years for 'the hudl generation' to fully restore out economy to new heights first.
  10. Exactly. I wish I had hudl at my disposal. The underlying granola eating sociological theme that you touched on though is the impact on kids who wouldn't have had the monetary means to get their tape out there when they were good enough to play and also get an education and contribute to the real world afterward. I say we file for the hudl creators Nobel Peace Prize consideration for the perhaps unintentional impact on the lives of those who would previously not be granted the opportunity to utilize their athletic ability as a vehicle to obtain an otherwise rare academic opportunity. Dare I say in the field of economics?
  11. Something that should also be pointed out. The creator of hudl deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.
  12. Exactly. More D1 athletes on the field. More importantly they're doing what it takes off the field.
  13. Hopefully the meat of the conversation will be about what major he'll go into when he comes here
  14. Remember that DE from last year that nobody had heard of and only had D2 interest. Then boom NIU swoops in and all of a sudden he's a 2 star recruit that everyone wants.
  15. We don't know what the coaches big board looks like though. We don't know how many spots at each position they need. Maybe they'll end up not having enough room for a really good player who really wants to come here. To me that's a good thing. It should be like that every year. It means we're going in the right direction.
  16. That dude is a damn good athlete. His int in his highlight tape was unreal. Get him signed.
  17. I'd say Bubba is hitting a home run right now. Not with recruiting but with getting people that had lost hope in Mussman to believe in the program again.
  18. He does explode of the ball.
  19. Anyone think Dranka would make a nice OLB blitzing machine? Maybe a little small for DE.
  20. So by another it was meant as a recruit?
  21. How many has he taken?
  22. I'm in your camp on this one. There are plenty of players and the new staff if very legit.
  23. Has midco picked up this game through root?
  24. Strange. They have been doing better at putting it in the back of the net lately but I still don't think of this team as overly potent. Hopefully things continue to click.
  25. One thing I did notice with Loney is that when he went down one of his skates got caught on top of ones of Ausmus' skates and he wasn't able to get control of himself before he went into the boards. He obviously then proceeded to act like he broke every bone in his body.
