Poly's QB is a beast. They will pass more and more effectively than last year. Our DBs will be under a lot of strain on saturday and will need to be extremely disciplined with their eyes. We can't afford to get burned deep on a couple of TD passes. We will need them to make a couple of very good plays on saturday if we want to win. Their D is also very fast and did a good job against Santiago last year so I expect more of the same this year. This is going to be a tough ass game. If we can knock their QB around and get him out of rhythm it will be huge.

Good. Almost wish it was at noon though. Get that west coast team to come out flat and tired.

Whoever loses this game is going to have a tough time convincing the voters they should be ranked. Poly is getting zero respect in them right now. You guys should probably be ranked 10 or so. If we lose this game I think the voters will try and pigeon hole us outside of the top 25 unless we win out.

Yea, I was going to say about the same thing. Best we could hope for would be a PA pass to the TE but it's unlikely we'd have enough time to get the pass off.

There are still many questions about both of our teams. I'm having fewer and fewer about our secondary which is a strange feeling. We'll see if they can hold their water against this hell option attack from Poly. They have some athletes. I really like your coach, he's a straight shooter.

One of the missed PI calls was against Feidler. They like to use him late in games as a surprise it seems. I want to see he and Cloyd used more. Love me some TE action in the passing game. It's a real pain in the ass of the defense.

Not exactly. He's just not capable of dragging a couple guys like Olivera. Right now that's what the OL is providing on most plays.

They didn't sit him. Not sure what you don't understand about that. He was in on carries late in the game. He just wasn't as effective as Olivera so the coaches made an obvious choice.

I'd like to add that when a gameplan is about stopping one player and you take him off the field the defense has no idea what to do. All week it's about stopping Santiago the smallish fast shaky RB and all of a sudden it's a fire hydrant instead and a lot more passing plays. It worked.

They didn't not win and that's what quality is all about.

Poly is ranked #16 in the STATS poll. We remain on the outside looking in. We had 41 points last week, this week we have 40..... makes sense that we would slide back after a win on the road.

Are we more porous? The stats seem to indicate yardage is about the same and turnovers are way better this year. I think not having Ratelle make a few spectacular plays a game makes the defense seem worse but in reality I feel better about this unit because we can defend the pass so much better.
