Herder is a bison. Their vote isn't supposed to affect the committee vote, but the committee is human. They are affected by public perception the same as anyone else, and public perception is formed by people like Herder and McLaughlin. Craig Haley is probably the most respected though.

Before the SUU game, show the team the video of the last time we took pity on them and kneeled the ball on 4th down rather than scoring. SUU offense took the ball, tried to score, and cheap-shotted O'Brien, ending his career. I'll never forgive them for that and the team should never forget it.
