I'm with you Larry...the way Kracker constructs his arguments, I seriously doubt that he has a college education at UND (or anywhere else). I'm putting him in my ignor list and I encourage everyone else to do the same...

I was never apart of the cavalry, and if it was up to me, they should have ended the use of the cavalry when we annihilated them in 1876 (at least the 7th, anyways).

This whole name thing is just a smoke screen that you and your buddies use to cover the real problems that the people you represent have - and it keeps you in power. When the Sioux name is dropped (and it will be), you'll have one less phantom issue to address and soon, you'll be thrown under the bus where you belong. Meanwhile, you'll have done a great disservice to your heritage and the history of a group of indian nations will eventually be forgotten or you'll have to run to a museum to hear of it...
While you're at it, why don't you explain how your cartoon indian logo resembles, in any significant way, the Fighting Sioux logo of today...If the Fighting Sioux logo looked like yours, I think you'd have a valid complaint...

Speaking of the Coyotes, what happens to all the developing players that were playing with Utah's AHL team? And what is the status of Nick Fuher? Will he ever play again? Or is he pursuing a career in his undergraduate degree?

Given the level of detail you have presented here, it's hard to believe that you don't have one of each in your possession...great job tho. I think the Ralph should give you a jersey since I'm sure many more people will purchase an authentic rather than the cheaper and inferior copycat. If anyone here orders a jersey as a result of Diggler's comments, give him credit in the comments box on the order form and we'll rally REA to cough one up. I'm positive that if we write them a letter, explain how key his analysis was to our decisions to purchase an authentic jersey and enclose $197.33, they'll be glad to give diggler a jersey...

Regardless of what Harold Newman puts on his billboards, ethanol is anything but "Sure Starting" in the winter. We've known this for years... With less energy and lower flamability, it is harder starting overall. Coupled with the fact that engines take more energy to turnover when the temps are below zero and it just becomes common sense that ethanol is actually a hard "starting" fuel and should be supplemented with ether...

My daughter is returning from London today. She was on the train from France when they heard about the second series of bombings. She was pretty freaked-out but, when they arrived in London, things calmed down. Their attitude is that they have a better chance of being run down by a cab while crossing the street. Still, I'm sure they were very careful (as Americans in a foreign country must be these days) and thought twice when they stepped onto a bus or subway (I don't think they did much public transportation).
As an aside, the UND Jazz Ensemble was on the same tour, but cancelled the London portion of the trip after the first bombing. I'm sure it had something to do with the University not wanting liability on a UND sponsored trip.

For years, the ethanol industry used the "alternative octane booster" and "renewable" arguments to support its existence and entitlement to government support. Out here in farm country, that stuff plays pretty well. It doesn't out on the coasts. Now with the Iraq war, the renewable argument is getting center stage as we search for ways to get away from "dependence on foreign oil".
As these studies confirm, regardless of what the supporters tell you, ethanol is not renewable. If you started with only ethanol as your fuel source, you would soon run out when you burned it to grow the crop and transport the end product to the distributors. Yes, we are getting better at fuel economy today so the old studies on this aren't as accurate, but they still have the correct conclusions.
Ethanol has about 70 percent of the BTU's of gas so fuel economy is worse too. With gas and ethanol pricing approximately equal (except in ND) ethanol is actually more expensive to use than good old gas.
I know that producers get pissed when they hear this, but ethanol is strictly a farm subsidy. It is not the answer and never will be. The whole industry has been artificially propped up by tax credits, etc. and now is further supported by government mandates that create an artificial market demand.
I know ethanol benefits our local economies and if we weren't subsidizing agriculture in this way, it would be some other, but we are not being very honest with ourselves about ethanol. I'd rather just give ag producers an additional amount of money than burn up the additional fossil fuels necessary to make ethanol work.

TCM, I think I was pretty clear that one of his options would be to take the money and go back to school if it didn't work out...
As per above, I just wonder if he should have let his stock rise a bit more before selling. Afterall, it's just a business deal...

I'm no expert, but I disagree with Murray's decision to leave early. He was injured alot last year and I think another year here would have done him some good. Have a good year this year, add to the value of his stock and I think money would be there for him. He was dominant on the ice and controlled the flow of the game when he was playing. And contrary to what some have said, he was very scrappy and did not hesitate to get into it in the corners, etc. I think he can carry that part of his game into the pros. It's true that because of his skill level, he was a target. That certainly won't change in the pros.
As far as jumping on $300,000, I'm also a little shakey on that. In reality, that's not much money (lots of people everyday people do that number every year)...of course, he can always use the cash to return to school and finish his degree, as so many have done. So maybe the timing was ok and he grabbed it. Why not, as long as he can keep his options open...
I've met few people who had more class than Brady or his dad. They are both what is good about college and pro hockey. Andy Murray always took the time to talk with fans and was a common site at the REA this year. I hope that he will return to scout from time to time, but once the NHL fires back up, that won't be too likely...
I suppose Stafford is next...

I'm headed to Winnipeg on May 23 to watch Goren against Roche. We got real nice seats in row four Section 127 (a corner). Can't wait to watch these two muck it up against each other.

They tore down "Eatons" and built the MTS recently. It is on Portage Ave, next to the Radisson. We were told it has only been open for around eight months. Secs. 124 - 127 are the ones with bar access...There is also a good restaurant right inside...and another downstairs for players, media, etc. John Gaustad is the grandson of the people I was with so we had access to that level too and visited with him after the game...Overall, the game and the venue were excellent - time and money well spent...

I was in Winnepeg last night. What a great arena...we were in Sec. 124 (The Labatts Club). Rochester made a mistake behind its net and the puck came out hard to Goren who one-timed it for an unassisted goal. The crowd went crazy...
The MTS is very easy to get to - just stay on 42 N which turns into Douglas which turns into Smith... and into the Radisson ramp ($5.00). The MTS is a 1/2 block up the street on Portage. I'm going again very soon.

I agree. I'm actually looking forward to some live hockey - it's been late May since the AHL playoffs.
Those seats must be right on the blue line in Sec 101...that will be cool. There are only a few row B seats in 101 (unless you're going to sit with the Panther team on the bench)...
Mine are across the ice in Sec. 107, row B on the face off circle of the side the Wild shoot twice...should be good.
