I don't think you can blame this on the ref,sure he sucked but we had plenty of chances with the 5 on 3 and others when it was tied at 3. It's all in the growing and lessons this team has gone through,Coach Hakstol said on the radio this morning that Smaby was battling the flu since thursday along with the alttitude it makes sense why he missed some shifts.The penalty on Lee which led to Denvers 4th goal was very weak,even the fsn annoucers thoght it was a horrible call and to there credit when Stasny was call to make it 5 on 3 there said it was legit.When will the best league in the country get better refs.If we all know Curious George is getting his players to turn into CFB why don't the officials?Lets sweep Tech and move on to the playoffs

I know I posted this earlier but doesn't it seem that we don't have many commitments for 2007 and up yet. The Badgers and the dirty Gophers seem to be racking the recruits up.This coaching staff seems to keep there cards pretty close to the vest compared to last staff as far as recruits go

diggin42 I have thought the same things,maybe Lee is thinking too much and not letting things come as natural as there were earlier in the year.

Looks like Haksto(according to the coaches show) has them thinking one game at a time which is the way the should approach it,treat every game like it could be your last.

I agree I wouldn't have any other d-man out there,he will be a great one. He is going through a rough period now though.

I think I know who he is talking about and he was awful all weekend.He hasn't been the same since the world juniors. Kinda reminds me of Gologoski(sp) and Hagemo from last year.

Someone on GPL was saying he had played with and has watched LaPoint and he has the ability to take a game over ,keeping my fingers crossed.It would be nice to have some recruits for 2007-2008.

Boy it can get your head spinning trying to figure all the possibilities and what if's.I believe your right in saying just win and hopefully the chips will fall in the right place.Thinking back some of those close games might be the nails in our coffin. Time to lace em up and get it done

Honestly the only teams I root against are the teams the Sioux are playing or now the ones who might help us in the NCAA regionals. Thanks for the input it helps put things in perspective.

Not discounting anything Gino did but I think he was blessed with more talented players but Blais's teams did it with more determination and hard work. Jason Blake was fast but Jeff Panzer took it to another level. Best fight has to be the water bottle fight in Wisconsin,Eades having a cop tell him if he throws one more he's going to jail and Archy's sparks from running across the beer garden with skates on

No problem, with all these memories that have been brought up I could almost change half of my choices. We are very lucky to have seen such talent come through here. I know sometimes I whine about the coaches and how the team is playing but I will be a Fighting Sioux fan for life even if they didn't win another game.

I believe that hit was by Defauw not Pivetz. Hoogsteen getting smoked by Blaker after the 2nd goal is something I will never forget.
