I always go with green too. It can't be confused with any of the other teams like black or white could, and it really pops on the street/in the bar/in the stands.
-
I'm guessing there will be more gopher fans cheering against und this weekend at the target center than many other nchc fans:/
You don't think they'd be in St. Paul watching the Gophers??
-
Not at Oceanaire at that address?
Nope, RBC across the street.

I live in MSP, so I am here, ready to rock come friday afternoon. Where's the pre-game party?
I work at 6th & Nicollet. Leaving work at 1:00 and probably heading to the UND party at The Pourhouse.

I still have to laugh that the students think it is a great thing to copy the M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A chant after the school song. Never have liked their spelling lesson, and like copying another schools dumb chant even less.
I didn't know they did that, but I also hate the "Always were/That's debatable" cheers after power plays. Hated it when I went to school at U of M, and really hated hearing UND fans saying it the last few years. Terrible.

I am sure this has been mentioned someplace by now, but I was a final five faithful for the longest time and wasn't sure about this new setup so I didn't get a package. Can a friend and I just get night game individual tickets at the door to watch the Sioux or are they two game deals only and we might as well watch half of the second game when we get there instead of go to the Pourhouse deal?
You should probably be able to just get tickets at the door, I doubt it'll be sellouts either day. But for the weekend you'll only need two tickets, one for Friday and one for Saturday. Each ticket gets you in to two games. Re-entry IS allowed, so if you don't want to stay for all of the early game Friday, you won't have to. Hope that helps!

My group is making our first trip to the cities for the Conference Tournament. We are staying near the Mall of America and are planning on taking the Light Rail downtown to the Target Center for the games. Just curious if this is a good idea or not?
Yeah it is. Should be pretty easy. Just give yourself a little extra time in case you have to wait for a train or they get packed. It's a pretty carefree way of getting to and from downtown.

Maybe it's changed, or perhaps that's what it is later in the evening. When I've been there it's been 5pm or so, prior to a Twins game. Completely different than what you're describing. And again, I haven't been there in a year, so things could be different there now.
Good point. I am talking about later in the night. A coworker of mine loves going to Whiskey Park after work even if we are having Happy Hour elsewhere. I think they do a Beat the Bartender-type dice game where you can win free drinks. Never been there for that myself though. I did pregame there for a Twins game a year or two ago though and ordered a $10 frozen pizza, so I wouldn't reccomend that.

Whisky Park (5th St and Hennepin) used to have free tacos/dogs (IIRC) prior to Twin's games. Was a nice, fairly quiet place to have a drink and a quick bite prior to the game. I haven't been there in a year so don't know if things have changed.
Whiskey Park is horrible. Always pretty empty, dance party scene, and they charge a cover. I try to stay away as much as possible.

I like the Imperial Room. Good happy hour, and great food! Never really too busy either. It's on First Ave just a couple blocks away from the Target Center.
-
What is the free fan fest? Does each team have their own area and stuff going on? Is it like a big tailgating party? Beer and food for sale? Are there other common bars or restaurants that UND fans gather? I don't remember for sure, but I think we're staying at DoubleTree suites. It's 7 blocks away and it's a Hilton so were able to use points to bring the price down. I have the information written down, but not with me.
The Pourhouse is supposed to be the "UND bar." It's like two blocks from the Target Center and has a secret bookcase door upstairs.

Quick kept that game at 1-0.
Yeah, I totally agree. I was just thinking more to give Quick a day off. But I guess there's no need really, he'll have a few more days off before the NHL starts back up again.

I'll be up at 9 am... possibly making bloody mary's. These colors don't run.
I'm going with mimosas and screwdrivers. I wonder if they'll stick with Quick, or let Miller get the start in the medal game.

This year as a whole the USA didn't do well. Alpine, Snowboarding, Freestyle Skiing, and Speed Skating are events the USA is usually in medal contention.
Yeah, as a whole USA didn't do well....https://www.google.com/#q=medal+count

The whole overtime situation confused me. 4 on 4 for 20 minutes? Weird. Potentially going to a 5-3 powerplay during the 4-4 overtime? I was at work and didn't get much for audio, but all that definitely has me scratching my head.

Is there a way to watch/follow the EDC games online?
-
Shouldn't it be something like "in Hak we trsut?" so we know its not an imposter?
"iin Hak we trust"

The hosts of this really hard to read and follow Canadian live chat are already getting impatient and almost worried about Canada's performance.

Looking forward to catching it when it's in St. Cloud when UND goes there.
-
I'll be there with a few friends on Saturday. Hitting up MC's Dugout pregame to round up a Hairy Buffalo or two and for the free shuttle to the game, then off to the Red Carpet to get weird postgame.
-
I have to go to a birthday dinner downtown at 7:30, but hopefully I'll be able to convince the wife to stop by the Pourhouse for the first period and a drink or two.

What the heck happened at the Union/RPI game and where can we get a video? Eight suspensions and tons of penalty minutes... Coaches involved in the.brawl.

Think it looks a long way to the ice with the gaps in the corner. If you're higher up it may be fine. Who knows? Pictures can be deceiving. How long can the WCHA hold the X with low attendance? I miss St. Paul already.
I wen to a Gophers-Badgers hockey game at the Target Center a few years ago, and I'm pretty sure they had temporary seating in the corners. They just may not have them in yet because they would interfer for basketball somehow.

Now I'm confused. I have a Pairwise Predictor having UND ranked 13 if Ohio St and Denver win. That'd get us in, wouldn't it??
