Austin Poganski held without a point tonight as Hermantown ends his teams season 4-1.
I was at the Cathedral-Hermantown game tonight. Poganski was very quiet...Hermantown had someone shadowing him whenever he was on the ice. Even though he had an off night his skills were still very evident... a fluid skater with Kristo-like hands. Also, he was not afraid to go into the corners. He's got a nice frame but needs to add some bulk. I'm anxious to see him when he doesn't have a target on his back. Overall impression...he's going to be fun to watch.

Bochenski had a great shot. that's what made him good in college when his skating was a little suspect. just my opinion tho.
Agreed. When Bo was at UND his wrist shot was NHL-ready. The rest of his game......not so much.

Cory McLean played at Notre Dame and was a captain his senior year.

Did anyone else notice during the handshake line Saturday night that Knight was reaching across his body and using his left hand only? I'm fearing we have another injury to deal with. I hope I'm wrong.

I watched both the UMD and UW games. UMD looked good, although that game was close until the end when UMD got a 5x3 PP. UW didn't look that good IMO, but still put away RIT. The RIT goalie let a couple softies in. CC lost to Cornell despite outshooting them almost 2 to 1.
And then the shocker...
UAH 3, DU 2
Huntsville gets only its 2nd win all season (both over WCHA schools) in Denver. Future UND goalie Clarke Saunders makes over 40 saves in the win.
It looks like some of those games hurt the Sioux in the Pairwise. We dropped from 18th to a three-way tie for 20th. Ouch.

I'm not a gopher follower either....the only reason I listed Okposo was that mikejm was looking for Shattuck alum who are NHL captains.

So in a couple weeks we should know. My guess. UND!
It seems pretty clear that Michaelson is still unsure. A couple of weeks ago it was down to the Gophers or the Sioux and now Bemidji State is a possibility. Last spring he was wavering on an invite from the NDPT so they gave him an extra week to decide. My guess is that we waits until this high school season is over. If that's the case Apple Valley games are going to be very popular with college coaches and scouts.....as good as AJ is Fasching will be better (IMHO).
