Yes, the Anas shoulder that was all important to the ESPN crew. Q had Anas, we had half an NHL team. The game against Denver was the true championship game that season.
Who was it that blatantly crosschecked the Anas... in the wrong shoulder... after the whistle... I cringed at the time. It's lol now

How many drafted players are in suits Friday?
The O/U is at 2.5
Please stop. Not clever anymore; just annoying.

Well, they've been hit by a lot:
First, there was a bad case of Armbrust Virus.
Then three cases of Blake & Panzeritis, and at the same time Gorenmonia with Goehring fever.
Followed quickly by Parise envy. Then multiple rounds of the DOT line, and they said "don't Toews me, bro".
They got "frozen" in AaronDell, we gave 'em the full Nelson, and they could hardly spell "CBS" line.
Then wave after wave until ...
All that's left is twenty fans, probably new, and mostly related to current players, or dating them.
Sioux Forever.
Great post. I love the "don't Toews me, bro". Well done Farce.

I saw Jimmy Snuggerud today against unbeaten Eden Prairie and he looked very good, especially for a freshman. Anyone know if we have a shot at him? With his dad being a former Gopher it would appear they would have the inside track.

It appears that maybe Blake won his appeal. I thought I saw him on the MN Hockey Hub that he has played in a couple varsity games.
He's still ineligible for varsity until January 28th. I saw him today playing JV vs Chaska.

What did Gardner do to receive his 10 min misconduct?

Pairwise gurus...are we better off with a St Cloud win today vs Bemidji?

I just went through the 2015-16 roster for sh*ts and gigs.... I think we'll see at least 10 from them:
Boeser, Drake, Rhett, Gersich, LaDue, Pogo, Tucker, Schmaltz, Stechy, Gage
LJ, Cam, Tomek, KT, Wolanin have shots.... maybe even Wilkie, too.
Special, special teams.
Here's my prediction on NHL futures for the '15-'16 roster.....Tucker will lead the group in career games (I'll guess 918) .

Anyone know if tonight's game is available online? Legally is preferred (wink).

My 3 stars...Olson, OD and Caggs
I thought Poganski was outstanding tonight - he had an extra gear on every one of his shifts. He was announced as the 2nd star (Olson 1st and Benik 3rd). Schloss commented a few weeks ago that Poganski could be a difference maker in the second half of the season. Hopefully this was an early coming out party.
OD also had a great game. His first period laser was Kozek-like.

6 tickets purchased!!!
At St Cloud there are two rows at the end where the opposition shoots twice. Anyone here had those seats before? I'm wondering if they were any good. Decent sight lines?

The odds of finding 5 boys that can play quality basketball in a school that has only 25 of them are a lot less probable than the odds of finding 5 in Dickinson, Fargo, Bismarck, or Grand Forks.
Don't tell that to the Epping fans.

DirecTV is indeed showing North Dakota @ Denver on Root Sports (channel 683) on Saturday night at 8pm.
(Seems like we're ending up with quite a few games on TV in HD these days, even if you don't live in Grand Forks.)
Does anyone know if Joe Sensor's in Bloomington still shows Sioux games?

Jack Ahcan of Burnsville is an undersized but dynamic skating dman, seems cut of the Chay Genowy cloth. I watched the Bville Edina game onThursday, and he really impressed me with his skill.
A+ skating
A hands
B compete
A hockey sense
B shot
He's a jr and the property of Cedar Rapids in the USHL. He is very small now, but if he hit 5'10 190 and spent 2 years in the USHL, he could be a great pick up
I've seen Ahcan (pronounced "Ah-SHAWN") play several times. Yzerman19's assessment is spot on. It's too early too tell if he'll have Genoway's leadership abilities but he has similar on-ice skills to Chay. His development in the past year has been huge - last year he was very undersized and tentative; this year he's stronger, more confident and has taken over as the top D man on a very good Burnsville team. My guess is that he'll need only one year in the USHL.
I don't know if the Sioux are interested in him (or vice versa) but historically Burnsville kids end up at Wisconsin (Dan Boeser, Tyler Barnes, Eddie Wittchow, Brock Boeser, et al).

Please spare me the lecture, we all know that you're a fraud and that you were outed this past summer by the UND beat writer, we all know that you have various twitter feeds. We also know that you argue with your self to bolster your opinion. Your words. 40-year old man chirping a UND recruit for not picking his school. All class there.
This Gersich talk reminds me of a book I'm reading titled "The Truest Character of Ignorance is Arrogance". Here is an excerpt:
Once upon a time in the land of Gopher hockey there lived a king named Hammy. One day in the streets of Gopherland there was great unrest - the commoners were concerned that a player with deep bloodlines had yet to commit to play for the local team. This player went by the name Sir Shane Gersich. Upon hearing the unrest King Hammy penned out a note and gave it to the Town Crier (who went by the name GPL). GPL gathered the townspeople and read, "Hear ye a proclamation by our ruler, King Hammy....'do not fret about the lack of a committment from Sir Gersich. I am not worried'." And there was rejoicing in the streets.
Three weeks thenceforth King Hammy began to hear rumors that Sir Gersich was considering playing somewhere other than Gopherland. In furtherance of preventing possible embarrassment King Hammy penned another proclamation - GPL read...."Fellow countrymen, regarding Sir Gersich...I want you to know that he is not a 'must get'. He is very young and injury prone." The townspeople were bewildered and confused but went away feeling satisfied - their mighty ruler had spoken.
Two weeks thenceforth Sir Gersich announced that he was going to play for a neighboring country - the land of the Sioux. The Gopherlanders were shocked and angry. Again King Hammy came to the aid of his minions...GPL read the proclamation, "As I said, Gersich is very young with several years of development ahead of him. I rank him below many others." And there was rejoicing in the streets.
And they all lived happily forever until Gersich led the Sioux to the national title in 2016. The End.

My #1 star for Saturday night goes to Dave Berger. Nice job on the national anthem. A great way to start a game at the Ralph.
