  1. Actually the game starts at 7:35 (5:35 Pacific).. so there is still a chance. Now the yale station is broadcasting liberal music :D

Hey it just turned on. My lucky day. Why did we start going to 7:35?

  2. Michigan state up 3-0 on ferris. They're only 4 minutes in.

How come Denver didn't send their fox announcers to minny? I'm watching fox rocky mountain, but have to put up with the babbling half paying attention frank micrappo. I think the Booger is doing color? I'd be a ticked off Denver fan right now having to listen to those two.

Wait a minute. I'm a ticked off sioux fan having to listen to those two!

  3. anybody have a direct link on the yale broadcast ?? thanks.

    Games at 7:35 right?

The link is earlier in this thread. Have your windows media player ready and click the 56 button. Right now it's playing music. WYBC-am

  4. The aunt of a friend of mine works for the company that makes the new ones. He got one for less than $100.

I think it kind of cheapens the other banners, but it would be nice to see a display of all the second place and third place banners that we had.

  5. Did you guys see the clip of Blake's goal tonight. That dam little terd definitely has some moves and the ability to finish. Wow!

The NHL 2nite guys seem impressed with him.

He made that one look easy.

  6. This came from the star trib and might clarify a few things on gabby's rights:

    BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Marian Gaborik's whereabouts remain a mystery.

"He's not in Montreal," said agent David Schatia, who lives and works in Montreal. "Never was. He wants to get away to somewhere that he can focus on his workouts and practicing and getting razor-sharp so he's ready if and when he comes back."

A few clarifications as Gaborik's holdout continues:

  7. IF minny trades gabby, they better get some talent in return. No one younger than him either. The fans may still be there now, but if minny starts rebuilding now they become the Panthers. I don't even think the Panthers have made it to the playoffs since being swept by the Red Wings in like 98.

  8. Really? I heard almost 75,000 people showed up. They were asked to give a donation to the fire victims since they got in for free. They raised a whopping $200,000. That's less than $3 a head. THAT deserves a bench minor.

My cousin was working at the stadium and said all Chargers personnel had to be there. The head ticket guy had just lost his home in San Diego to the fire, but had to be at work.

  9. If the game was on ESPN, you shouldn't wonder why they are giving it up for the NBA. ESPN was founded on basketball, college basketball to be specific and eventually it moved up to NBA and then outward to other sports.

What does this mean? It means hour long sportscenters with 50 minutes of it relating to basketball. Too bad I think the NBA sucks and there are about 200 too many college basketball games in a season. :/

The NBA is boring, but college sports are a blast. The fans actually CHEER!

I had to watch a replay of the game on Buffalo's Fox Sports Net station, since I have DirecTV. The announcer did some great commentary on the fight early in the game. I wish the Fox sucky north would replay the games. Though, I don't care to watch the gophers 8 times a week.

  10. Same thing is happening here. Fires are just merging and becoming bigger and bigger. I heard at one point that the one in San Diego was over 100,000 acres.

Haven't heard on how they started. Supposedly someone saw people throw something out of a white van that started mine. If this is true, THEN WHY DIDN"T THESE PEOPLE PUT IT OUT!

  11. On Friday I went to visit a friend an hour away. Stupid me, I didn't pack anything even though fires were about 10 miles away. On Sunday, I found out a new fire (arson) was right in the mountains near my apartment. I had to drive back the long way, because the freeways are closed. I got to my apartment and packed a few things. I had a brief thought of staying, and then I noticed the mountain (I live on one) behind me was on fire and coming closer.

I just came back Tuesday at about 11 am. It's night out here. It's like a war is going on. There is soot and ash everywhere. The fire burned some buildings two blocks from my apartment. Currently it has moved farther east, but who knows what will happen.

So I leave the flooding of the RRV and come to fires out west. I've been through tornados and a minor earthquake. All I have left to cross off my list is a hurricane and being attacked by godzilla.

If you hear things on the news about San Bernardino, think of me. I also ask that you keep the people out here in your prayers.

  12. The only time (that I know of) that hockey charters is to the Frozen Four. The good/bad thing about chartering is you have extra seats to sell, so you can make some money that way.

In DI, the FB teams will charter. The reason is they have so many people to begin with that are associated with the team. Plus a partial band comes. The remaining seats are filled with the big time donors of the program. They don't necessarily pay their way, but the universities hope they'll make up for it with a big donation sometime.

Next time you watch a big time FB game, look at the sidelines after the players box. You'll see all kinds of rich men standing around. They are the big time donors. I was at the Fiesta Bowl when USC played ASU. ASU had about 20 extra guys on the sidelines. This weekend I'll be at the Rose Bowl watching UCLA and ASU. My cousin gets free ASU tickets.

Extra FUN Bonus Prize: When I was at ASU, we picked up the Oregon game tape from the airport that night and dropped it off at the offices. We then jumped the fence and ran around the field a bit. We were a little hopped up. We did have DD.

  13. The Gophers sell out every game. It is getting everyone to show up consistantly that is the problem. It is to the point where they sell extra "rush" tickets where you can sit in any open seat after the 10 minute mark of the 1st.

The same stuff will eventually happen, if it is not already happening at the Ralph.

You are right that they are sold out. And yes, the ralph does have the same problem.
