Ha, laughing only because it's true at this point.
Well, for all that complained about Moore any time he hit the ice...you won't have to next season.
Can't wait to find out who the new "goat" is.

Not sure we need to recruit for the 14/15 forward anymore. You can get those guys in the portal. Gives the staff more flexibility to grab a must have in the portal or if they nail it on the recruiting trail, they can bring in a big class of "blues".

Nick Portz gone now too. Need to add forward(s) out of portal.
Guessing that's a sign of a portal center announcement coming soon.

Man, I remember how many on here were flipping out when he didn't come here after his original commitment.

Agreed completely. He would be a very good get. From Fargo, so maybe he wants to move closer to home.
Good numbers, and was only a soph this year, so would still have a couple years of eligibility remaining.
Depending on what plans Berry has for Albrecht/Montgomery, Berg would be able to be plugged right into the lineup IMO.Yep, right between James and Blake.

They would have had to call either “diving” or the CC + embellishment (4x3).
He didn’t dive.
Wasn't watching the game.
Was there already a penalty on the board? If so it would have been 5x4.

5 and 11 have brothers playing elsewhere.
13 becomes Social Security eligible in a few months.
No way do I want 11 to go. Excellent in his own end, a center and seems like his goals come in important spots.

Yep....tough decisions would have to be made.

I like to see 1 or two forwards from the portal, preferably one being a center.
But keep the forward # at 15.

Expected Roster as of 3/23/23 -
Going by a somewhat typical 26-man roster (15 F / 8 D / 3 G):
Forwards (12)
Fr - Emerson / Perron
So - Blake / James / McLaughlin / Strinden
Jr - Schmaltz / Portz / Kunz
Sr - Gaber / Jamernik / NessDefense (6)
Fr - Benoit / Komzak / Wiebe / Livanavage / Strathmann
Sr - MooreGoalies (2)
Fr - Hedquist
So - JohnsonUndetermined
Decision from Caulfield / AlbrechtPortal and/or Recruit
F - Even if both Caulfield and Albrecht stay, we still need one more recruit or portal forward.
D - Need two
G - Need oneMontgomery?

He played in every game but two. He certainly had a slow start though, for sure.
UMD people are saying he was "lazy" and didn't want to earn his opportunities.
I'm not sure if that is just sour grapes or accurate though. Can't be right.....it's always on the coaching.

Maybe this has to do with players not wanting to play for KG.
LOL!

The general rule of thumb back in the day was school nickname on the home whites and town/city/state on the road jerseys.
I’m just cringing at the possibility of a new “City Connect” jersey with “THE FORKS” on it. Meanwhile, my kids’ reaction: “THOSE JERSEYS ARE FIRE!”
Even better....Los Forks.

I think we'd need someone who could pot in that spot. Perron (setter), Strinden (getter), James/Blake/Gaber? (netter)
17-22-Emerson
26-8-9
28-21-Perron
11-27-13

Emerson.
Agree....think 21 will be center.
With where we stand right now I'd like to see Strinden centering Judd and Perron.

Red Savage to Michigan State.
-
Have to win 6 games to win a conference tournament....4 games to win a National Championship. Makes a lot of sense.
-
James needs linemates who are willing to give him the puck when he's flying through the neutral zone....I haven't seen Gaber willingly to do that....Blake and Schmaltz would be a good combination with him.

Heard an NHL guy yesterday say how hard it is to get young guys to realize that they won't be sacrificing putting up numbers by coming back hard and covering in the defensive end. He said once they do realize that they can transition from that and it won't hurt their numbers they start to fall in line. Of course it would be nice to have guys that aren't worried as much about numbers as they are about doing what's necessary to win, but especially at the NHL level, guys are playing to impress and get that next big contract.
Yep.....lots of offense can be created from defense. (9-8-16)

Agreed. We need Gaber and Frisch back. We need caufield to come back and play a depth role (maybe it clicks for him next season who knows). Could really use Kleven back. I know it isn’t happening but it would be huge.
I'll take Caufield back for another 10 goals, PK time and defensively responsible in our end.

Schlossman has already said that the kids going to struggle to play defense.
Where did he say that that?
