I think it is encouraging, for college hockey, that programs are committing money. A strong Ohio State program makes things more interesting.

Not sure how a Big Ten hockey team spending more money is  "encouraging" for college hockey.

I hate this time of year.  Watching Schlossman's twitter and this site for news on Poolman.  Really hope he stays.  It's easy to lead when things are easy. but I think the leadership group did a great job of keeping the team pulling in the same direction this year.

After watching the latest through these doors....it sure sounds like he's staying.

  3. Three things to understand about a move to a two class system, for hockey, in North Dakota.

    1. Zero Junior Gold teams need to move up to high school hockey to get this started.

    2. Enrollment should not be a major factor in placement of teams.

    3. The NDHSAA doesn't care about hockey enough, to put the work into getting a two class system done.

I'm not knocking Brock, but Oshie had 45 points in 44 games as a freshman, while Brock had 21 points in 42 games as a freshman. Like yzerman19 said Oshie was special.

    Wasn't comparing the two....

Yeah, except here's the rub: Those big time programs (many of which have come here in the past, so I guess, so much for that criticism) require a return trip or don't have a desire to fly out to North Dakota, particularly to play a tough UND team. Alternatively, they can save on their end of travel expenses by scheduling other teams that are closer by. On UND's side, in order to help fund the athletic department, they need a certain number of home games, so they have to buy some games against lower level programs that don't require a return game.

Some people must get exhausted be faux-worked up over everything.
