From Chamipons club today.  At least the message is the same.  I called last week about the other team tickets that are returned, because i heard a rumor there was a list for those.  Not the case.  They go to the arena for public sale it seems.

    THAT'S GONNA GO WELL AGAIN!

  2. Then you don't trade him.  Draft a young guy to replace him and that might get him motivated to go out and prove the world wrong.  But giving away assets is just plain stupid.

I thought this was supposed to be a bad RB draft class?  I agree with you 100% make him stay and play or get something for him but if you see my link above, that makes it was tougher.

I hate the MN trend in all sports of losing "assets" because of loyalty and hometown love.  It hurts when they leave but it hurts way more when they leave and we don't have 2 or three more picks, or any part of the Yankees or Red Soxs farm systems.

  3. Crazy to think people doubted/hoped the NCHC would fail. To be fair, nobody could have guessed it would be this dominate.

This year averaged with last year, makes the NCHC average.  2014 barely 3 teams + 2015 lets say 5 teams for sure =4 teams a year.  I think that is what people expected was 3-4 teams every year.  That is what I thought.  It is nice that is half our league though.

It is a rare year for this many power teams to be this far down.  Who saw this happening in Wisco.?  Or CC for a counter point?

  4. Excuse me, but pointing out that we frittered away a 2 goal lead for the second consecutive Saturday is not "jumping off" the bandwagon.  It's stating a fact.  And it has become a disturbing trend for this team when they have a one or two goal lead in the third period.

Being objective does not make someone a bandwagon jumper.

They had their foot on the gas Friday night in the third.

  5. That was the least dominating 3 to 0 .... Oops 3 to 1 .... Win I have seen all year.

Hope we didn't use all our puck luck tonight.

Or maybe the hockey gods realized we got the shaft last weekend and smiled upon us.

Either way I will take it.

Now, anything less than a sweep is unexceptable.

WMU has every right to feel slighted by the refs last night.  I wouldnt call it puck luck.

It reminded me of the onld WCHA days when the Gophers would get Jobbed and the next game they played was loppsided PIMs.

I think they got the no goal calls right(I have no idea how a Horn sounds and no goal light, I thought they were ususall wired together) but there is no dening they swallowed their whistle on Steches Goal and the trip on Mac was a joke in the third.

I just hope we don't get a make up for them now tonight.

  6. No he does have a decent defensive mind and he knows where to be.  The article did mess one thing up, I believe they said he would fill out more or get bigger and that won't happen.  That kid is an ox.  However, the article did mention he is a plus skater and I wouldn't go that far.  He has to stop taking dumb penalties and he has to become more consistent (over an entire season).

Maybe this is my problem that i cannot see past the idea that he plays his best when he feels like he has to make up for something.  I cannot stand how often we find him in the box.

  7. Who would a person email at the NCAA about the ice conditions at the Scheels Arena,  my only sliver of hope to attend is if they move it to a bigger venue.  Maybe they would create a new MN rule and move it to the X, but the Ralph or Sioux falls would work just as well for me, not sure of the capacity of SF, but even Duluth or Bemidji

Disclaimer: getting a little starry eyed about hockey these days

Didn't Duluth loose the bid to UND in Fargo?

  8. Yeah it's for the 1st 12 months, then I just call and re-negotiate.  I did it with Comcast all the time.

    The steps go like this:

    1. They tell me why package went up

    2. I tell them what my budget allows per month

    3. They say they can't give me that price

    4. I ask politely to cancel my service.

    5. They transfer me to customer retention department

    6. I win :)

I am going to try this.  I will still drop it when Midco comes just out of spite and UND games.

  9. Count your blessings because Midco cant get to Fargo soon enough.

$168 a month, HD channels that they just dropped a few of, internet I had to go in and make them get me to the "up to 50mbps" equipment that is actually slower than the "up to 5mbps"  They just added $12 a month.  We have twins coming any day but once my wife goes back to work we are dropping the TV.

I will admit that $8 of that was for the modem I just went out and bought.  But I used to have midco in West Fargo and Williston and the selection of channels is far superior.

AND MIDCO SPORTS NET!!! So I have an NCHC.tv subscription too.

  10. Stepping back for a little perspective, it's hard to blame the refs when the Sioux were on the power play for half the third period.  On the other hand, there were times on those power plays where UND players were hacked and tackled to the ice with no second call, and those were acts that interfered with play, causing lost possession.

Mac had at least one play during the game that should have been another embellishment and Parks had one too tonight.  The later calls may have been makeups for what should have been uncalled earlier.
