Any word if Hirsh not playing is related to his post-game activities last night?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
they said it was a coach's decision, so I'd assume, reading between the lines, that would probably mean it was because of his actions

High sticking call on Smaby, gophers on the pp

Scott Foyt showing the jitters on a rush up the ice, would love to see a guy like that get a point today

I love Shepard's comment to Lotysz that Adam can't see everything on the ice, hmmmmmmm...........as the replay shows, the play happened right in front of him, while he was staring at it.

What can UND really do? They would never switch conferences.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
nothing, that is the problem

Looks like the WCHA will try and sweep this incident under the rug, they feel their 1 game suspension was enough and they want everyone to move on. This is not a call where people are disputing a goal or an offsides call, this is a play that is affecting the health of a player. It just really boggles my mind that a one game suspension for such a vicious hit is enough.

Not to bash you guys or anything, but when you're from the area around Miami and go head off to North Dakota in the middle of March, not a lot of them are overly happy about that. I'm sure they're more than happy to be in the Elite Eight, but its not like ND is a popular destination for millions of Co-eds on Spring Break.

and Michigan is much better???

Tim Skarperud will not be in the building today, he has been suspended by the WCHA for his actions following the hit to Bina.
He gets the same suspension as the player who caused this whole thing, ridiculous

I think both coaches were right, they said this could be a very ugly and boring game to begin with
