Team blue just put up 9 vs Finland at TRF in a 9-3 win.
Did anyone go to TRF to watch the games? It looks like Kessel played a good game.
-
What? Where? When?
Do you any info to back that up.

If he thinks he has a shot in the NHL, it is only as they guy who delivers food (undoubtedly half-eaten) to the players hotel rooms.
Great post!

Now UAA fans can see what a quality guy they had.

Look at the box on the top of your screen, it says "siouxsports.com". More than likely, not one ND high school player this year will play for the Sioux in the future.
While the ND Top High School Teams thread started out decent, it has been crap ever since. If you want to talk High School Hockey, there are many websites devoted to that, including: NDAHA.ORG or USHSHO.COM.

No one cares if you don't like this topic, if you don't like it don't read it but if you read it then dont bash it.
I agree!

WHO CARES ALREADY!!!!!! THIS POST IS KILLING ME.
Hey driscol, stop yelling!

Am I wrong about this?
Yes.

Goaltending
BRANDT!!
Lamoureux as back up.
(With Zach gone, I don't think Jordan will get the playing time)
Jordan Parise's playing time had nothing to do with Zach being here. It may have something to do with him being here, but not his playing time. I don't have his stats right now (PCM has a nice chart) but his performance is why he plays.

Well this isnt official yet so im not sure what to think. But to leave the sioux for ahl most likely isnt a good choice.
He will be getting paid to do what he loves...play a game.
While I agree the timing isn't the greatest, you can't blame the guy (if true).

Nice find Dan. This would be huge...if true.
This will give us something else to speculate about over the long summer.

WOW, did this thread bring out some great
conversation.

The last time I tried to pick the lines before a season started, I had Chris Fournier as my first-line center. We all know how well that turned out.
He ate your picks?

In all honesty, this thread makes me want to puke.
It sure is nice to see the self-proclaimed "best college hockey fans in the nation" supporting our newest head coach, a coach our previous coach publicly and vehemently endorsed. A coach our previous coach hired four years ago without this perceived "head coaching track record." A coach our previous coach had so much faith in, he promoted him to Associated Head Coach in his FIRST YEAR AS HIS ASSISTANT.
Not to be condescending, but what do you guys REALLY know about the candidates? Hell, what do I REALLY KNOW about the candidates? We look at the year-by-year W-L of each and that's about it. The rest is all second-hand knowledge. We don't know how these guys run a practice. We don't know what their recruiting approach is. We don't know what their demeanor is on the bench. Or in the locker room.
To quote former NFL coach Jim Mora: "You think you know, but you don't know."
Now, if I may be the voice of reason here, in 1978 fans were screaming that Union coach Ned Harkness replace Rube Bjorkman as UND's head coach. Against public opionon, some dude named John Gasparini got the nod. Hmmm. What did he ever do.
Then, in 1994, Gino was canned. The public was outraged. A good portion of Sioux fans preferred either Paul Pooley (??) or Mark Mazzoleni (who is now the coach at freaking Green Bay) among the three finalists. The third finalist, Dean Blais, won out. Sure, he spent nine years as an assistant at UND. But sheesh, the guy had spent the last two years as a high school coach.
Here we are 10 years later lamenting that UND screwed up in its search for a replacement for a legend. Again.
It's been 26 years since UND fans criticized the hiring of Gasparini. It's been 10 since he was fired and Blais was hired. In that time, we've won five national titles and sent 50-plus players to the NHL.
Now, would anyone care to share their qualifications in evaluating head coaching candidates?
Great Post!

Anybody else notice that they have Gopher defenseman Nate Hagemo as a Badger?

The cup is coming to GF if they win tomorrow.
Commodore already said somewhere that he would take it to the School where his Mom is the principle. He would use the cup as a hair cut bucket when he cuts his hair for cancer charity.

I heard this afternoon Commodore is out tonight. Lydman is in.
I don't have a link but I was told it came from a Dallas paper.
Lydman skating with team
Calgary defenceman Toni Lydman, out with a concussion since early in the Vancouver series, is with the team in Tampa Bay and practising. However, he is not expected to play in Game 5.
Calgary GM/coach Darryl Sutter said Lydman is going through a "protocol" and is tested every day.
"He's still in the protocol for days, so to answer truthfully, he has to get through today again," said Sutter when asked if Lydman would play.
Bye, Bye Bochenski
