Person over on HFBoards is saying Verhoeff is getting 200k and Reschny 80k to come to UND. Any truth to these numbers as I thought there was bunch of discussion here how the collective doesn’t have this kind of funds. If this is what they’re getting then that confirms Boisvert left for other reasons than the 💰 BU is giving him.
Those numbers are absolutely false.

This Casey kid isn’t the son of former UND goalie Jon Casey is it?
No. Mom is from Stillwater. Dad is from Brooklyn Park.

Josh would be the perfect person for the job!!
I think Josh Morton is doing a great job and is a perfect fit for Augie moving forward...maybe he retires there and it's his last job.

Trump called me yesterday. Had some beers together.
He said he's gonna work on the 25k fee for the collective.
Everyone keep the pressure on please.

I doubt it because its separate from UND and the collective is called 1883.
Has nothing to do with the foundation. They take their 10% for everything.
The 25k is a separate licensing fee to raise money for UND in the name of UND under their namesake.
Terrible.
"Hey we want to raise money for the University of North Dakota to keep kids here and recruit other kids."
"Ok....please pay us 25k and we're good."

I am not sure if this is apples to apples as I don't fully understand how UND and 1883 collective are tied together but ..... a number of years ago I was involved in raising some money for the UND engineering department. We were told at that time that UND took 10% off the top of all donations that went through the UND foundation. Donations that went straight to the engineering department avoided that.
@UNDBIZ is correct. That's the foundation fee. Which I understand is probably a necessity. I get that. We dealt with that during the Impact Scholarship Campaign during the transition. It was a surprise, but I understand that part of it. Cost of doing business.

On the rent.......is this privately owned? A discount would be nice but it's a lot to ask individuals/partners to give up $19,200/year in revenue when the reality is they are likely operating near break-even given the high cost of construction the past 3-4 years.
You sound like you might have experience with this?
Let's just say there were 3 partners on this endeavor. Could all 3 partners afford to subsidize $500 a month each for the sake of the cause and charge $100 rent?
I don't know the answer.
But if I could afford to do it in that position, I would. I think you would too.
As always, easy for me to say without being in that position.

An individual can contribute to a general fund or sport specific up to 2 sports.(my understanding at the time) You also get some store credit for some 1883 Swag that is sharp!!
Two things regarding the 1883 collective that need to be addressed:
First...It is an absolute administrative embarrassment and disgrace that UND is charging the 1883 Collective 25k a year to basically raise money for UND athletics only because they are doing it in the name of the University.
Armacost, Chaves and whomever else need to be held accountable for this. It's unnecessary overhead that needs to be resolved to be more financially efficient.
If anybody wants to b*tch about something important....this is it. Calls and emails. This is unacceptable.
Second ...rent for the 1883 collective unit in Memorial Village. $1600 a month. Do the math. That's money that could be spent on athletes. Hoping the building owners can help out with that and do better for the cause.

I do not.
However I have deduced from the Internet and believe there's a Nebraska HS kid in this week for a visit with an imminent decision looming.
