The Lamoreuix (sp) hockey generation of today in GF is similar to the Spicers of GFC in the '70s when I was growing up there--same name recognition.

Brad Berry often uses foam pucks in practice for blocking shots...looks like this drill is helping them in game situations.

Prpich said that in juniors it wasn't unusual to see Reichmuth get rattled on occasion.

Pregame: Blais: Don't change anything from last night...short, hard shifts. Doesn't get the feeling they're complacent. If anything needs to be changed, don't turn over the puck in the neutral zone because Duluth is good in the counterattack. Sioux assistants last night said Brandt was in "the zone". 1st goal tonight will be a huge psychological advantage. Sandelin: N.D. forcheck never let them get in sync; 3rd period Sioux shorthander was a back-breaker. Will make a couple line changes. Says the Sioux very difficult to come back against. Common theme in the 2 interviews: 1st goal is crucial.

Great team effort, kudos all around...sounds like Smaby is coming into his own with a solid performance in a hostile environment with the McNaughton at stake; some punishing physical play. Was satisfied with the overall officiating. Super quick game--about 2 hours long. 7-1 CC over SCSU.
