Somehow NDSU used to figure out how to even put King Frazier, Bruce Anderson, and Chase Morlock on the field at the same time. I couldn't believe we had no sets with JJ at full back, Brady at tailback and Santiago in the slot. I know Santiago was injured some this year but rather than platooning him and Brady I think Santiago commands so much attention from a defense that he should be on the field for 80% of the snaps even if he isn't lined up behind the QB for most of the snaps. Just a waste of and poor use of the talent that we do have.

Did UND I have watch party today? Serious question because despite our team demonstrating over the last 2-3 weeks that we don't want to be in the playoffs we we're still right on the bubble of making it which show just how bad FCS football is this year.

I originally had seats in 110 for a couple years and then switched to 106....would trade for identical seats in 111 or 114 if I had to but I wouldn't trade them for any other seats in the arena unless they were the Club Seats on the bar rail for same price.

True. But maybe we can be one of the 8-12 teams in the playoffs that don't deserve a spot this year.

Not sure which results are better for UND in these games. Montana St @ Montana Weber State @ Idaho St. Will the committee "group" UND with the Big Sky teams? If Montana St and Idaho St both win that puts the Big Sky at 5 playoff teams in which case we are screwed if they are grouping us with them. Best case would be Weber and Montana winning which would(should) make us #4 from the Big Sky group. This scenario should also kill any UNI at 6-5 narrative.

The FCS playoff picture is like an etch a Sketch right now and UND seems to be trying to do everything they can to not be in the picture.

Truthfully? It is because our new logo in a word, sucks.

Why hasn't the Administration made every team use the North Dakota word script to follow the lead of our premier sports program? Hockey has 2 Hawk logos on jerseys, football has 1 and 1 on helmet. Most schools, especially in hockey do not use their mascot or team name on their primary jerseys...maybe it is as simple as that? Why doesn't Duke have their mascot logo on their jerseys and helmets? Maryland? North Carolina? Minnesota? Wisconsin?

Not to pile on special teams but with Santiago out are we even trying to set up a punt return. We returned 1 punt out of 7 and I am alright with that but then why not put 2 guys back to fair catch the damn ball...especially late in the game? The last 2 or 3 punts they had included 30-35 yards of roll from failing to catch the ball in the air.

This is what should have been done last year and I am assuming our Athletic Director at the time, if he was doing his job had a discussion with Bubba about shaking up the staff and Bubba chose to remain loyal to "his" guys......well now what? If that discussion didn't take place which would be a failure by Faison then I guess it is up to Chaves now but I wouldn't recommend a shake up of staff, I would demand it. I know everyone talks about the lack of money but I guarantee there are up and coming great minds in college football who are 24-30 years old and just looking for a shot. At the FCS level the reality is assistant coaches should be using UND to get better jobs and opportunities not looking at UND as a permanent stop. I would hope every assistant coach on our staff has aspirations of becoming a head coach and moving up the ranks from position coach to coordinator positions. As far as the playoffs go. From our local perspective and at first glance, does UND "deserve" a playoff spot? Probably not. But taking a closer look at FCS football maybe tells a little different story. Who are the playoff "eligible" teams left? How deserving are they?
