Has anyone else noticed that when the Sioux try to run and gun with teams like B.C. and Maine they get burried and maybe they should return to the Defensive style hockey when playing these types of teams.
Let's face it, what we're doing now isn't working, you can't loose much worse than 7-3, so why not? Especially with how good our D is supposed to be. Play a trap/shutdown style game and wait for them to make the mistake? Are we disciplined enough for that?

This weekend is going to be a circus. I'll be at the game Saturday brining a friend. It'll be her first hockey game of any sorts, could have picked a better game than UND-DU.

Nashville Predators defenseman Cody Franson and St. Louis Blues forward T.J. Oshie will be among the guests on NHL Live! on Tuesday, scheduled from noon-2 p.m. on NHL Network and NHL.com and broadcast on XM Radio.
Franson's play has helped the Preds get off to a tremendous 5-0-3 start. He scored during Nashville's 4-3 win at Tampa Bay on Sunday night.
Oshie, 23, has 8 points (1 goal, 7 assists) in the Blues' first seven games. St. Louis is also off to a solid start at 4-1-2.
Also slated to appear with hosts Don La Greca and E.J. Hradek are USA Today's Kevin Allen and Versus analyst Brian Engblom.

Wow. Tech is undefeated so far this season. That's very impressive. I know it's still early in the season, but it's still neat!
It's always fun to see underdog stories. Not that they're much a story yet.

woopdy doo it's an exhibition. doesn't mean anything to sit this one out.
I understand it's just exhibition and will ultimately count for little. However, it is important to play at game-speed and not practice-speed before games start counting. Now he will miss that opportunity because a bonehead move. I'm sure he'll have a stellar year, but still...

I'll be going to the UNO games as well. If there's a decent number of Sioux fans going (and it sounds like it) it would be fun to meet up at a bar before or after the game. I've never been there but I'm sure there's someplace fun and close to the rink.

K1 still sells the old Nike style Jerseys. Maybe they'll continue to sell them. I'm not an expert on the name change and all its details, however.

I just hope Bowman can find a way to either convince Huet to take a pay cut or find an interesting way to get rid of Huet while minimizing the cap hit (Mission Impossible).
Buff will be missed. He was a monster reason they won the Cup. For my views on Huet I think Chicago would come out on top if they traded him for a bag of used pucks. My brain short circuits every time I remember he makes more money than Brodeur.

I like the Winter Classics, maybe a little over hyped by NHL standards but not as unbearable as say the NFL Draft. But this ye....year...
ugh, excuse me ... This years WC is disgusting. Go figure it will be Sid v. Ovie. Will not be watching this one.
