I definitely understand that sentiment, but I was not at all worried about their performance this weekend, particularly on Saturday. The effort level was there against Minnesota, in both contests. Against UMD, we were shell shocked. I think our younger guys grew up a lot on Friday and played pretty dang well, but just didn't get a bounce. Didn't get a bounce all weekend, as a matter of fact. We aren't good defensively, right now, but we definitely have the pieces to be. Offensively, I am not sure what we need. We created a lot of chances on Saturday and had plenty on Friday, too. Not crazy about our depth, right now, though.

Ditto. Insane game. However, the reaction my friends and I had the next night after Porter buried the wrap around is what I'll remember most from this weekend. Man, I love this rivalry. So happy it's around for 7 straight years starting tomorrow.

This is long, but it's so good. My favorite it LaPanta when Nelson scored. Goes berzerk. I remember seeing something saying that he got told to no longer be so animated for "opposition" goals after this game.

He absolutely did not jump at impact, he jumped after impact. Again, relax with the name calling and tough guy talk, alright? I've seen the video a million times, seen still photos of it and talked to people who agree with me, including a current NCAA referee and there is room for interpretation. That his is viscous, against a huge rival in a tight game.... is there any chance that those factors played into the call? Frankly, it's all moot, because the call was made and it went in the books as a penalty.
