  1. If it does, which I assume to be true, how is the scholarship money handled if the student-athlete chooses to live off campus?

They get the cost of the housing and meal plan paid to them each month throughout the year.  Then they're on their own.

Unless FCS or the Big Sky votes to not allow this, we've got to do FCOA for all revenue sports.

  2. I was at the Carrier Dome last year to watch a Syracuse basketball game and I wore an NDSU T shirt. I had a few people say go Bison to me as I passed in the hall. The guy I sat next to saw my shirt and started up a conversation about ESPN Gameday and what an awesome representation it was by the NDSU fan base. He was from NYC.

Things like that give you a chubby, don't they?

  3. I guess Hannible and Sleight didn't count because they never were on the team and those spots are available now. So we have 32 spots open and given the complexity of our defense at the safety position, we would like a transfer now that can begin learning the calls and get a spring ball under his belt.

30 per year is an NCAA limit for FCS schools. I believe it's to eliminate over signing and discourage running players off.

  4. gotta love those out of town scores on the new million dollar scoreboard....i think southern utah's game against montana stayed in the first quarter for about three hours!!!

That game didn't start until 2:00 Central. They should list the starting time instead of 1st Quarter.

  5. Sister is a pharmacist.... Though that's not a conversation I want to have with her

Not to worry.  She went through all the instructions and stayed with me until she was sure it worked.

Won't get that kind of service if Walmart takes over.

  6. Darell,

Look at the difference in schedule between WIU and UND. Try, just try, to take the blinders off for a second.

WIU has played 4 games against top 25 FCS teams. #1 NDSU, #9 Illinois State, #17 Youngstown State and #20 Southern Illinois. They have also played two games against FBS Big 10 teams in Wisconsin and Northwestern.

UND has played against two ranked FCS teams in #7 Montana and #10 Montana State. They played one FBS game against Mountain West San Jose State. Their remaining games have come against unranked FCS teams.

UND has beat 3 unranked FCS teams and has a record of 3-4. WIU has a record of 3-5 with one of their wins coming against #17 Youngstown State. Do you think there is a chance, just a chance, WIU has had a significantly more difficult schedule than UND, which would explain any statistics you are throwing out?

WIU is a bottom feeder in Missouri Valley, similar to Missouri State, but as shown this entire year, even bottom feeder Missouri Valley teams are pretty darn good considering the only non conference FCS loss by a Missouri Valley team was South Dakota against Montana. When UND played a physical Missouri Valley team what happened? An absolute ass pounding 0-38 loss.

NDSU has had a lot of tough close fought games against Missouri Valley teams through the last 3 years. In the last 3.5 years, NDSU has a record of 50-2. Those two losses were against Missouri Valley teams. All the teams in the conference are tough. Did they play well against WIU, no, but I guess at the end of the day what I am saying is WIU is a pretty decent team. Nothing that UND has done this year would tell me that UND is anywhere near capable of beating NDSU.

If we all agree with you that the Bisons are better than UND at this moment, would you then shut the #@&% up?
