I wasn't able to catch the game or the chat Saturday night. I'll stand by my word. I avoid the chat, and these forums for the most part, too many haters who don't know how to take a loss.

Like Brian Idalski said the other day, "no one has won a National Championship in October."
Also, I think it's funny that we have people calling for Dave Hakstol's head one week into the season.
I agree with both statements, I was just making an observation. During Hak's tenure it has been normal for us to struggle against Hockey East teams (a.k.a. BC), and it is baffling that such a good coaching staff doesn't learn from past experiences no matter what kind of team we have on the ice.

There are lots of reasons why people are letting getting beat in the second game of the season throw them
Boston College is the living symbol of Hak not being able to get his teams over the hump. Every time we play them we think that maybe this is the time we've figured it out and it never is
It's more about just getting beat - it's the total inability to look competitive

Hak has had some nice teams, however it has been a long time since the last title - when we play BC and look like this that reminds us of that fact
In addition, they came into our house and took it to us
They lost a lot last year too, but aren't making excuses about it
Our veterans didn't look great - I thought defense was going to be our strong suit
Why can't we figure out hockey east?
For some reason we are making a tradition of getting throttled by Hockey East teams, it wouldn't be a sioux season without it happening.

So what does every think the chances are that Gregoire decides to forgo his senior season? Considering that the New York Islanders own his draft rights..my guess is that him leaving early is above 50%.
Who are the other big possibilities of leaving early?
I think it's pretty high, he's at the peak of his game.

If you call what I said in reference to Hakstol as "Hakstol bashing" then I don't know what to say other than it is just the facts. People are expecting him to bring a National Title back to Grand Forks and so far his teams haven't pulled it off. I'm guessing he's gotta have some results within the next few years or he'll be let go just like Doug Woog was for not winning a National Championship. Definitely can't rip on him though. The cookie just didn't crumble in the Sioux's favor tonight.
Agreed, it almost seems normal now. Not really Hak bashing, he's probably the most baffled. We've managed to lose every possible way in the frozen fours, and yes the cookies have not been crumbling for us in the NCAA's for a while.

God I hate Michigan but how can you not respect their execution of game plan.
Red had that team primed to play this Sioux team perfectly.

How many times have we heard "the other team executed their game plan perfectly"? When the $%## are we gonna execute our game plan in the Frozen Four? Sorry for the frustration.

Business as usual under Hak I guess... I still don't know why we wouldn't have used the bench side we had for the final five as that worked just fine for that championship. Even our name was on the boards on that side.
Starting to feel like it. Whether it's a blow out or close game we still end up on the losing side

I did not bash anybody. I know you don't want to hear anybody say Danny wasn't telling the truth. Well, he was wasn't. And his coach coached him, that's his job.
I think everyone has heard it twenty times over that they think he wasn't telling the truth. Wonderful, they have an opinion. Do they have proof? Do you have proof? No. That's why these threads are getting locked an deleted. It is unnecessary. Move on and find something else to talk about.

I hope Matt wins the Hobey so I can shut the gopher fans up that keep tweeting me about what a horrible person Matt is and how he should be disqualified. I'm starting my own personal Frattin for Hobey twitter campaign just to piss them off. I'm glad my parents taught me not to judge people.
Don't worry about the Gopher fans, they apparently don't have enough to complain about especially after losing to AA last night.
Also, I had had Matt in a couple of my classes a couple years ago, nice guy. He's just another college kid that made a mistake, and more importantly , he did the right thing and took the hard road to get back to the team. That should speak volumes.
