  1. I did find myself thinking in the 3rd period and OT that this is the last one we are aeeing some great players in this uniform.

It is always bittersweet but that is one of the things we sign up for as fans of this blue chip program.

Early exits create opportunities for underclassman and so it goes....

Zamboni end is still SRO.  The other (south) end is all seats all the way down.  Permanent install, now looks like any other arena for sections 112, 113, and 114.  IMHO, you're in a great spot right there on the end -

Edit: Scheels Arena is the only hockey arena I spend more time in than the Ralph.

On the north side for SRO there is a natural, permanent gap for the Zamboni.   Each of the two "platforms" has 3 rows that can go 3 or 4 deep depending on how crowded people want to be.  On the glass will be a prime spot for a lot of people.

  3. Heading to the practice sessions tomorrow.  I am most interested to see what BU has to offer and also to see what we may get out of Tucker :/

I'm so glad this event is in Fargo - simply incredible to have this kind of talent and an event of this magnitude for the second time in three years.

    God. Bless. Hockey.

  4. Per Scheels Arena - SRO is now on north side only (south side has been filled with seats since 2015).

Students DO NOT get first jump on SRO on the north end.  It is all first come, first serve - gates set to open 60 minutes before game time, per the box office. Get ready for the Oklahoma Land Rush but as they noted, tickets were only sold in order to maximize the space comfortably.  I'm sure those on the ice/glass will be in for a mosh pit experience.

Bulldog Tap will run shuttles but only starting at 1:00 (one hour before gametime).  Not sure about Gastropub.

    Is it Friday yet?

  5. I like the DeLuth match up as I said earlier today I wanted no part of Denver. Can't wait to be there on Friday to cheer on the boys.

does anyone have information on practice times on Thursday that are open to the public?

  6. I too want no part of Denver.  I hate to admit it but they are a solid, Frozen Four-built team and they have to goods to get to Chicago.

This reminds me of 2012 when UND won a big game over the Gophers in St. Paul only to have to face them a week later.

As for Duluth...hey...nobody, NOBODY beats us SIX TIMES in one season!!!

  7. I ran some scenarios too and UND would have to go 0-2 PLUS teams like Michigan AND Quinnnipaic would BOTH need to win their conference tournaments for UND to miss the cut by one.

i think we may know by Friday night if UND is a lock.

  8. Would love to see updated scenarios if anyone has them heading into Frozen Faceoff.

i would have to think that we are "good" when it comes to an at-large berth for NCAAs?  Even if the boys in green go 0-2 at Target Center?

Or does UND need to win one in Mpls to be safe?

These are tickets left over from the Student Allotment. Once the student purchase window passed they became available for the public. Not great for anyone that want great sight lines as ice level amd a few hundred students in front of you.

True, but aren't all SRO tickets "first pig to the trough"?  If one arrives early they wouldn't necessarily be behind students.

  10. After coming off a giddy high from last night's home-ice clinching win, I had a moment of clarity regarding next weekend's series:

    UND advances over Clown

    Denver rolls over CC

    Duluth takes care of Miami

Omaha upsets Western Michigan (Blais advances for one more conference tourney)

Denver d. Omaha in the afternoon semi and then it's UND vs Duluth in the evening semifinal.

A UND win secures a spot in the NCAA field and a date with Denver.

A UND loss puts them against Omaha for 3rd in what could be Blais' last game.  That would be a neat story but as they say...

.... A LOT of hockey left to play.
