  1. When Rocky was the coach and if he was in a car with two players who was driving? The Fargo PD of course. The Force will be in Fargo for two or three years tops and will fold leaving people holding the bag for the money they are owed. If only that guy behind the Fargo arena had not gotten or getting divorced from Ron Offuts daughter evreything would have been allright.

  2. True, but the differences between the two are incredible. I don't think there was much Dave Speak in the show anyways.

I think it is funner to have the tapers shows. Have you guys ever noticed how some tapers work is much better than others? Jon Ice is probably the best one. Crumbo and scottbrown are also pretty good. One show I would like to get is Winnipeg in spring of '98. Funny how all three of us are asking each other if they need a show when we all have a ton of them already.

  3. Nope just had my first flying Job out of North Las Vegas and Boulder City depending on the schedule. Sandwhich I prefer In and Out Burger even though it is a chain. Carlos Mexican Seafood. not that into Vietnamese.

Grand Canyon tours huh? What about Fatburgers with chili and cheese?

  4. Hey theres another Ant on this board. I was at both, who could forget Superfreak and I'll Back You Up, and then this years Eh Hee and Shotgun, but so many other classics this year. If your ever interested I have a lot of shows on CD and would be happy to burn some for you.

I'm always amazed at all the Sioux fans and UND gear I see at Alpine.

I have all the shows from 2005 except for one and almost all the shows from 2006.

  5. I've heard great things about that Dave Matthews & Friends show.

My best would be Dave Matthews Band at Alpine Valley Music Theatre, 8/7/2004 or 8/26/07. Amazing nights.

Do you have a copy of the 2004 show?

  6. Before he committed to Minnesota, he told the coaches that he would be interested in playing here and a short while after that he committed to Minnesota without ever taking a visit here. From what I understand, the number 1 reason that the went to Minnesota is because of the olympic rink and the open style play. I have also heard more than once that his dad doesn't have good relations with the Sioux program.

I figured that played a part in it.

  7. What was the best concert anyone has ever seen? I am going with Warren Zevon at the Orpheum in Minneapolis in 1982. Followed by Springsteen in 1984 or the Eagles in 1978 on their Hotel california tour.

"Michael Nesmith - Cruisin'" look in youtube for this song.

  8. Student Sentate and the City Council Held a Joint Session tonight too discuss topics that affect students as citzens of Grand Forks with the hottest topics where the New Jail because if the county wide tax initutive to pay for it. Also the Silent Train Crossings which have been deemed to too expensive to install.

Are you a product of the CCSD? Best sandwich in Vegas? Capriottis. Best restaurant in Vegas? Rosemary's. Best burrito? El Campita or Robertos. Best Vietnamese in Vegas? Pho Huang Saigon. All are off the strip.

  9. From what I heard Johnson came back to Grand Forks to be closer to his family.

I also know he is working for Vaaler insurance.

can't get much closer than working for your father-in-law. family here? mother and step-father in Thompson, brother in Denver, brother in Fargo, in-laws in Grand Forks and Hawaii.

  10. This has probably been discussed before but how did he get away? His dad even played here. I wonder if Bowen was still coaching if that would have made a difference since he was good friends with Nestie.

  11. OMG! I thought you were just some guy with a 'holier than thou' attitude but now I see your some guy with a vendetta. You have to take that somewhere else!! As far as I'm concerned, this last statement of your's just ended whatever credibility you may have had before you posted it.

Just pointing out the truth which people who have him on a throne fail to see. In reality I think he is the best coach in college hockey and when Blaiser left I said why look for a coach when the best candidate is already here. I am more concerned with the integrity of the team and the university as a whole than most of you. People were saying that Steve Johnson should be hired as coach. Which was not an option since Steve did not have a degree at the time. Hak was and still is the best coach that UND could have hired, I just do not worship the guy like others. How many of you were down on him when things were not going good? Most of you like everyone else? I never lost faith in his coaching abilities like many others did.

  12. Here's what I don't get Hermit, and feel free to correct me:

I just sat here reading your posts and I've noticed that most if not all of your posts on this topic are consisted of you talking down about Hakstol(your right to do so) and the UND program(again, your choice).

Yet, when someone decides to refute(sp?) your claims with facts or counter-arguments, you ignore it and move on to your next negative post.

I'm all for you speaking your mind on a message board like this, but if you're going to start by writing negative comments(Hakstol) and assinine statements(Oshie), you should be adult-enough to listen and respond to the arguments from people on the other side of the fence, including myself, instead of making your next negative post about Hakstol, the team, or UND for that matter.

    Have a Wonderful Day.

Once there is a counter-arguement of substance then I could respond. You have a wonderful day and thank you for the polite responce.

  13. Ahh,

Hermit's just the troll under the bridge.

I like to hear him ramble, he sounds "Hockey Helmet Special."

I have been watching the Sioux for a lot longer than most of you and have probably known a lot more players on a personal level than any of you. Hak is not the angel that you think he is.

  14. I've gotten to know Hak personally and I'll echo OBG's words: this is as far removed from what Dave is as the east is from the west. When he said in his public apology that he was embarrassed, he meant it. This is not a coach you'll see standing on the boards whining about a call, or going postal on an official in the tunnel .

Dave Hakstol's character is, from my personal experience, of the highest magnitude.

You only saw the outward persona that he wants you to see.

  15. I agree. I would have expected Kupchella to reiterate that Hakstol's action was out of line with how the university want sto represent itself, and to support the AD's decision to go with the suspension. Adding the additional spanking to Hak seemed like Kupchella needed a "Hey, I can lay down a heavy hand too" moment to show how tough he can be.

Hakstol has been a first class representative of this university from all I can see, and Kupchella should have treated him as an adult, not a misbehaving child.

Hakstol acted like a misbeahaving child and that is how he was treated. Hakstol created the problem not the media, not Brekke, Kupchella. As all misbeahaving children they apologize once they are caught. This was far from out of character for Hakstol.

  16. Two games is fair, the school ACTED 1st to avoid the wcha getting involved, nothing more than that.

    and

    Hermit,

How would it appear if I said, "shut the *!#K up and eat your cookie!"? ;) How would you perceive this?

That you fit the typical stereotype of a person who lacks knowledge and lives their life vercariously through a bunch of kids playing hockey who you worship as idols.
