  1. Can someone please explain to me why Andrew Kozak is not on the power plays first or second unit? This kid let the team in goals last year without the benefit of expended ice time or power play time and he has the best wrist shot in college hockey but he still can't crack our power play? Martens goes from the press box to the power play on a nightly basis but we can't find room for Kozak? Give me a break!
  2. Try booking a hotel with air on Priceline. I have friends that got roundtrip air and four nights hotel for only $202 a piece! They fly out Wed and return to Bismarck Sunday non-stop both ways.
  3. Hey if anyone is riding the fence or knows anyone that is there is still room (8 seats) on the second bus that Al Peason has lined up. Only $185 and we have rooms reserved for only $72 per night! Call Al at 218-779-5740 to get on the bus and in the game!
  4. For those of you interested in staying with many Sioux fans at a great rate try the Quality Inn Central. It is where Al Pearsons group will be. We have 70+ rooms available for just Sioux fans. It is only 2.5 miles north of the Pepsi Center and they provide a free 24 hour shuttle to and from the entire downtown area. They have a nice bar and restaurant on site. To get in on the group rate of only $72 per nite call 1-877-634-9434 prompt 2 and give the rep Reference Number GRJTTN no later than Monday, April 7, 2008 by 2:00pm MST. Let's make it Sioux headquarters!
  5. I am sure the bus is coming back through Bismarck as there are a few that are being picked up in Bismarck on the way
  6. You are correct it is not under Al Peason group but PEPSI CENTER TEAM TRAVEL GROUP. It really shouldn't matter though as long as you have the code which is GRJTTN. Tell them you want the room from the 10th (Thur) to the 13th (check out). A handful of rooms are reserved for Wed-Sun for those of us driving or flying so make sure you get the Thur - Sun rooms.
  7. UPDATE ON AL's BUSES: For those of you riding the bus, the rooms are now available at the Quality Inn. To secure your room call 1-877-634-9434, menu prompt 2 and give the customer service rep the following code: GRJTTN. We are registered under AL PEARSON GROUP. All you will need to do is give your name and credit card number to reserve the room. You have until 3:00 Monday to reserve the room. Al will be contacting everyone this weekend to make sure that those without computers are taken care of. Al would also like to inform everyone that they (because of curling at the Ralph) will now be leaving from the new county jail parking lot at the fairgrounds. Bus loads at 6:30 am and leaves at 7:00 am sharp.
  8. For all of you on Al's bus we will be staying at the Quality Inn Central. It is about 2.5 miles north of the Pepsi Center. Price will be $72 per night. All rooms are two double beds. Free continental breakfast is included. Hotel has a nice bar and restaurant and also a bar across the street and a Village Inn next door. The hotel provides a free shuttle that will take you and pick you up from downtown (including the Pepsi Center) 24 hours a day. We have secured a block of 70 rooms and the members on the bus will take about 40 of them so there are extra rooms available if you have friends that are driving or flying in. This hotel has 210 rooms so we will make it Sioux headquarters for the weekend! We will update you tomorrow on how to secure your room. We have them on hold until Monday afternoon.

  13. Steve is a local guy, played as a Sophomore on Centrals 1984 state championship team which was probably the best ND high school team ever. He played junior hockey in Canada. Was a stay at home defenseman who wasn't afraid to mix it up and had some epic battles up in Canada. He was a recruited walk on for the 1988 Sioux and was the last cut on that team. He was an assistant coach for Red River for a few years and has coached youth hockey in Grand Forks for a number of years.
  14. It is becoming painfully obvious to the other teams in the WCHA that not only is UND the most talanted team in the league but they are also the most intimidating. It pains the other coaches in this league to know that they can't compete with us on the ice and to top it off their team cannot match us physically and are in fact are intimidated by our boys. They know they can't stop us on the ice so the only alternative is to wine to the league office in hopes of disrupting what the Sioux have going. It is there only chance and they know it. It reminds me of the early 80's when the Sioux could beat you any way you want. Buckle up its going to be a great ride to the Frozen Four championship!
  15. Guys we are not talking about play by play guy. Obviously, T. H. is on every ones favorite list. I want to know who everyone thinks is the best color guy. Who is the best Sioux hockey analyst be it radio or TV.
  16. Just wondering, who is your favorite Sioux hockey broadcast analyst (color guy). Choices can be from either radio or TV and from the past few years include the following: Steve Olson, Tim O'Keefe, John Bernstrom, Greg Lotus, Jim Scanlan, Jeff Bowen, Tarek Howard, and Jeff Bredahl. My top three are: 1. Steve Olson, 2. Tim O'Keefe 3. Jim Scanlan Yours are....
  17. I have sold all my tickets. My brother does have two for both Fri and Sat in the upper deck on the isle, end Sioux shoot on twice. If interested call him 218-791-9671 (Terry).
  18. I have great seats for the Denver series lower bowl behind the net the Sioux shoot at twice. 6 tickets available Friday and 3 for Saturday. $35 each. Call me at 701-739-5623
  19. Nate was a member of Team USA that played in the 2005 World Jr. Tournament in Grand Forks. As a volunteer for the tournament I had the opportunity to spend a great deal of time with all of the players from Team USA. Nate was one of my favorites. He was very respectful, soft spoken, and humble. He had an injury coming into the tournament. In fact, his coach, Don Lucia did not want Nate to take part in the tournament and risk further injury. Nate wanted to represent his country and decided to play anyway. Long story short, Nate reinjured the shoulder in the Tournament and never fully recovered and was forced to quit the game he loved. I am assuming that this has led to the sad story we are talking about today. I ask all of you to give the kid a break...
