    how about the 96-97 team losing to manitoba? let's try and keep things in perspective here. this years current squad isn't the second coming of the hrkac circus by any stretch of the imagination nor is it the 96-97 squad and those teams lost to teams like this as well. I'm not surprised at any loss this years team has as it isn't anykind of juggernaut.

    I think schlossman pointed out that gino's 82-83 team loaded with future nhlers got SWEPT by UBC so yes he did. also someone here said that und should have put 8 or 9 goals up tonight, not gonna happen even tonight against an extremely bad simon fraiser team it probably won't happen. this team has a very hard time scoring 4 goals. I can see 5 or 6 tonight.

    so why can't I be upset about this hire that was done for one reason and one reason only, an attempt to keep season ticket holders from bailing because hey look we got a sexy name from und's past. bubba won't won't come close to sniffing a title any time soon and I will go even farther an say hak will one before ole bubba does.

    so let's see here, SIU is a program that has been nothing of late and yet UND raids their coaching staff and thinks it will lead them to the promised land. way to go Mr. AD. for a program that seriouslyt needed to cut ties with former players and coaches for its current staff this is brilliant I say, just brilliant...not.

    they should make the games count then, instead of scheduling two games that won't amount to a hill of beans come march. AZ is right, the first game against manitoba or whoever is more than enough. this whole team bonding thing is ridiculous, if this team hasn't formed some kind of bond by now it has more troubles than we think. they had a chance to bond against miami, omaha, bu and western mich on the road.

    walmart has done nothing for the price of gas in this town, they have been selling gas for years here and don't have much of an impact. if flying j and fleet farm got together, then maybe...

    the funny thing about the mack brown situaion is that before he arrive there that program was irrelevant(sp) for what 20-25 years. he made the program relevant,won a nat title and would have won a second if his qb didn't get hurt in the first quarter against bama in the nat title game. I'm pretty sure saban will be booted out at bama if they don't win another one inthe next five years.

    one positive thing I saw last night was UND WON the game and their fourth straight which puts them in position to earntheir first home sweep of the year.
