Since a lot of people are going to the games and are not really familiar with the metro and where to eat here are some suggestions.
Bar La Grassa (make reservations today for that weekend) http://www.barlagrassa.com/
Al Vento http://www.alventorestaurant.com/
Saigon (University Ave. St. Paul) http://www.yelp.com/biz/saigon-restaurant-and-bakery-st-paul (try the bahn mi which are Vietnamese subs and pho with meatballs)
Lucia's (tried and true) http://www.lucias.com
Rinata http://www.rinatarestaurant.com
D'Amico's http://www.damicoandsons.com/
Luci Ancora http://www.ristoranteluci.com/
Taqueria Los Ocampo http://www.losocampo.com/ (not the Red Pepper or Paradiso)
Taqueria La Hacienda http://www.taqueriaslahacienda.com/
Pineda Tacos 311 E Lake St (real dive but great food)
Adelita's http://www.adelitasmexicanrestaurant.com/ (pork in adobo sauce yum. They also have a bakery up the street about 20 blocks that is really good)
Remember one thing about these places. They are not the Olive Garden, Red Pepper, or Paradiso. Gee I wonder what three types of food I like best?
PS If any questions PM me. Stay away from Cossetas.
im more partial to MURRAY'S STEAK HOUSE, down on 6th street!

Many people questioned this.
I think it is rather unfortunate. He was dynamic in juniors.
As for the list... who is Scott Freeman? Helfrich? Oh nevermind. They both went to the ECACHL. Guess that's why I never heard of them.
Cory Tropp made a name for himself.... in a rather negative manner.
How can you judge Pat White being dynamic in juniors when he only played 12 games? Yes, he may have had 9 points in 12 games but that isn't a lot of time to judge a player. I think he would've benefited playing juniors for a full season or two to get accustomed to the faster pace of hockey. He was an overrated player with a good wrist shot, probably the reason the Canucks traded him to the Sharks.

One of the rules of the ticket forum is to not get rich off of your sale. $800 per ticket, even in a suite, is a bit much, don't you think?
As someone who has sat in a few suites (at the Xcel and Target Field) $800 bucks is a pretty good deal. If you think about it, for three games and food and drinks you would be spending close to that anyway, so I don't think they are making anything on these tickets.

OK - my Cable provider and Internet provider are the same. If I go to espn3.com via my computer and click on their name, it won't "continue." Will it be the same via Xbox?
it says i need a code?

I don't know if this has been posted or not but here is a good article explaining why the Big Ten is going to be awful for college hockey. My link
When you read it you will find out some interesting facts about Michigan and Wisconsin and how they LOSE MONEY on college hockey.

They need a Joe Sensors! Chipotle would be good. Buca de Pepo. But the last ones are definately "chains."
Chipotle and Buca de Pepo would be awesome! Joe Sensors is nothing more than a sports bar, when i go to the cities joe sensors isn't one of the places that calls out for me to go and eat.

I believe it is only espn3 and that is why und had to work so hard at getting tv coverage here. it also blows my mind that espn3 is offered and most people in this area really only care about 1 weekend a year and that weekend midco can't do a free trial of it or something. I remeber in 97 when the sioux made the frozen four gf didn't have espn2 and midco(or whatever it was called at that time) worked out an agreement to give residents of gf a free one or two day trial of it.
i don't believe UND had much to do with WDAZ getting the feed.
-
From another tweet by Jayson:
im assuming it will be in HD since WDAZ has an HD channel

IS the FSSN going to put up the game on the Satellite for those outside of ND?
No, just on WDAZ/WDAY and the other stations out west
-
Saturday's Game on WDAZ/WDAY
-
WDAZ only or WDAY too?
wdaz/wday
-
channel 8 will have the game on saturday

Maybe MT will switch to the CCHA and the WCHA will stick to a nine team conference. Which is easier to do schedules for, nine or ten teams? I'd like to see it back to where UND plays each team at home and on the road every year again.
well if Michigan tech goes so does the MacNaughton Cup....

I don't really care too much about missing two schools that have placed 1-5-5-8-3-3-2-6-6-3-2-7 (Wisc) and 6-3-3-2-4-3-1-1-7-5-7-5 (UMTC) in the WCHA final standings the last twelve years.
In them past 12 years they have combined to win 3 NCAA championships, I would say thats a pretty big deal losing two big programs.
-
So now we know that the UofM and Wisconsin are going to the Big Ten what does the scheduling look like for the UofM. You would think the WCHA teams would have the upper hand with Minnesota because we all know that the Gophers hate to travel and I am willing to bet that a lot of teams the Gophers call upon will be demanding home games. What do you guys think?

The new owners could of gotten the Ralph closed they were that inept.
Owners NO...MANAGER (DAVE NORMAN) YES!
side note....apparently there are a few places in Fargo that are looking for him and his CAR

looking for a white XL geometric jersey does anyone have one for sale or trade?

I highly doubt it has anything to do with cost. With all technology it takes someone to implement it on the broadcast. Considering the great job the crew does with reviews, video, and showing standings, I would be amazed if adding penalty time would cost really anything.
It has everything to do with money. For starters they need another camera and camera man, then they need a new switchboard in the truck to upload it onto the screen and than it needs the right cables. Add all that together and it starts to add up. So I can see why they won't do it.

I'm hoping that we can get some help in the advertising market.
I'm rather tired of the same commercials every time... Rydell (and that humiliating idiocy they put their salespeople through), Dahlstrom Motors, American Tire, gosh... I'm repressing a few of them.
The commercials are just old and lame.
No one wants to buy commercials during the hockey games...these are the only business that are willing to spend money during this time. If you actually knew on how WDAZ works than you wouldn't be complaining as much. Yes, WDAZ produces the commercials for these people but they are the ones who approve it so it falls on the business. My guess is they are doing their job because you are talking about those particular commercials.

I hate the gophers just as much as the next person and love to see them lose but why are we talking about the gophers choking? Shouldn't we be talking about winning the WCHA and moving on? Everyone is making it seem like UAA is an awful team, we went 2-0-1 against them. I think UAA is a team to look out for in the final five, they are some big boys and they can clog up some lanes and cause trouble for most teams.
People can say that we are chokers to, I mean we did get bounced 4 straight years out of the Frozen Four. I know this is a forum so anything goes but when we discuss this it makes us look arrogant, especially after we just won a record 15th WCHA championship and all we can talk about is the gophers failures? Every team goes threw bad years and it just so happens to be the gophers time, hopefully they will right the ship because the program is too rich in history and too good to let fall into the bottom tier of the league.
