64-62 UNI. Another close loss, at least it wasn’t a blowout like the last time they played. Hopefully these close games go our way.

You can't be the best if you can't beat the best, which starts by actually playing the best. Just so happens that the best FCS program in the history of FCS football is only 80 miles from the University of North Dakota.
I have no problem playing UND's biggest rival on the road two times in a row. UND had no leverage and needed to do that in order to get it scheduled.
Something worth bitching about is how UND performed in the 2015 game. That needs to improve. Also, I think it is worth bitching about how UND has to play in Fargo again in 2020. Why couldn't UND play NDSU in Grand Forks in 2020? The MVFC schedule screwed UND over more than Bubba and Faison did by scheduling the game for 2015 and 2019.
We did host NDSU in 1992 and 1993, so this isn’t that big a deal. NDSU is not Alabama, Ohio State or the Minnesota Vikings, they are a DI FCS team. Yes they have a dynasty going but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t play them and I do agree with you, if we get blown out then you adjust and go at them again. Did everyone forget the ass kicking we got in the 80’s by them, we didn’t just let them roll over us in the 90’s and 2000’s. We adjusted and beat them. I was at the 1993 game sitting behind the Bison sideline and what a sight when the goal post in the south end zone came down. We beat them before and we can beat them again.

There's nothing wrong with Wentz as a player.
Now his offensive line in Philly ...That statement makes no sense it’s always the QB’s fault. Some “fans” in Miami think so.

Over 3,400 posts & 4 years, AND the Bissons #1 stop. They just can't stand it when someone here talks FBS, but on BOZOville it's OK.
I would think click bait works on message boards also? So you have that.
OPTION: You and I can duke it out on the keyboard till one of the moderators shuts her down.
Most people there think its a stupid idea since the only conference they can get into is the Sun Belt. Now on FB you have Bison fans thinking Big 10 and top 25 every year. That makes for some great laughter.

RPI is dead, NCAA doesn't use that to determine NCAA spots anymore.
Here is the new one
https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-net-rankings
So we are still the third worst in the SL and would be 4th worst in the Big Sky.

The Summit is now rated the 29th league by RPI, mixing it up with the MEAC and SWAC.
Meanwhile the Big Sky is up to 16th. Don’t think UND switching had much to with those conference switching places.
We are the 3rd worst in the SL and if we were in the Big Sky we would have the second worst RPI. Maybe us moving built up their RPI while dragging down the SL even more. 353 is the worst in DI and we are at 312. Pathetic.

Can we just for once have QB like Easton Stick? Kid is a stud
Having an OL that can block helps.

Nope, no one said that. You said he earned an extension (he did) and now you're saying to fire him less than 1.5 years into it. What planet does that make sense on (I mean, outside one where you aren't responsible for any sort of finances)?
But yet people are quick to say fire Bubba, or Fire Berry. After being on the job for a handful of years unlike Jones who has been here since 06.

He earned his extension.....fire him halfway through it. Brilliant!
You are right keep him forever. Fans love single digit DI wins.

One seat is on the 35 yard line in a stadium of 18,000, the second one is nosebleed end zone in a stadium of 100,000+. Look at the 35 yard line for the rose bowl, they are going for $550+.
Take that logic out of here.

Get your tickets now! Only a couple thousand seats still available.
Seriously though, why are we still playing teams like Mayville? Can we at least get some very low level D1 school or heck even D-2 within the region? Hard to take MBB seriously when they schedule this type of competition!
There are only 350 DI teams to choose from so of course playing teams like Mayville, Crown, or Concordia are the logical choices.

I am not a big Brian Jones fan and as has been pointed out in this thread Faison dropped the ball on his contract situation and for now it is what it is.
As far as winning the Summit, are you saying as long as we win the Summit once every 9 years you are good with that or are the other 8 programs all looking to fire their coaches every year they don't win the league as well?
I’m just saying fire him after the season if he doesn’t win the Summit instead of letting his contract run out then letting him go. Going to the dance gave him a reprieve and earned an extension as most thought maybe this is where things get better, plus I would give him a chance as the SL is a new conference and see how we match up.

We don’t talk about USF on this board. Too many bad memories.

What’s so bad about Angie going d1? I would welcome them into the summit. For me, it makes things more interesting and allows me to see a few more games.
what makes us snobbish about who we are. I don’t consider us to be God’s gift to d1.
i enjoyed the ncc conference back in the day.
It’s not like we were cake walking through the Big Sky. What makes people think the SL will be a cakewalk? The men’s basketball team couldn’t beat Omaha when they were still transitioning. I welcome Augy too.

This is confirmation of what I have argued for years: The Summit League is a complete joke...........
No getting around that now.
And still has a better RPI than the Big Sky.

Just like March Madness it’s all up for grabs. However SDSU is by far the favorite.

The bubble with an unfilled date wouldn’t exactly be a good look either.
A lot of FCS teams to choose from, no need to schedule Mayville.

I'm sure a link to the post wouldn't be too tough for you to find and add here. So far, I've seen nothing in the past year on the board that mentions 16k at the stadium.
https://coachad.com/news/u-of-south-dakotas-dakotadome-getting-facelift/
As part of USD’s future plans for the Dome, which was approved by the South Dakota Board of Regents three weeks ago, ongoing renovations will include increasing the seating capacity to 16,000 for football.
that was back in 2011.

Per FootballScoop.com, Mayville State looking for an FCS game on September 21.
One thing I admire about Bubba, no scheduling non DI teams. Sucks when that’s all we schedule in basketball is the Mayville’s.

Jones has history of bringing some very good players and developing them. I agree with UND snce82 I think we will be surprised with how this teams develops as season goes along but I do have reservation on this team in since that I don't think they have guards this year to compete with top teams in the conference. I just think its hard to blame Jones for this when you loose a player like Crandall late in the year like he did because at that time its hard to go find replacement player. Small schools like UND are going to have hard time keeping top players like in past with the new rule changes and especially now with big time programs being able to come in pluck players from likes of UND when ever need occurs. The turn over in players is going to be common place for small school like UND when they players have the ability to move from school to school.
Why weren’t people this forgivable of Bubba after the injury prone season of 2017, and he was only in his 4th season. Jones has been coach back when the Sioux where in the NCC of Division II, yeah that long ago. I think a change needs to happen if this team can’t win the Summit. The losing years need to end.

“Burgum stressed that none of the Legacy Fund's $6 billion principal will be touched in his proposal.”
i think people won’t oppose him touching it for snow removal of a major road in the name of safety.

This has been suggested numerous times to no avail. Some people are just negative, "Fire" threads do nothing for the programs and they certainly have no impact on a coaches tenure along with hurting recruiting.
You know what else does nothing for programs, having a losing season year after year, keeping a lame duck coach for over a decade without much success. Recruits can read a fans negativity in game threads just the same as a “fire” thread. They see results in the box score, they hear word of mouth, they see empty seats in the crowd. Just because someone puts a “fire” thread out there means they aren’t going to sugarcoat how the program is doing. So if we think all the negativity will hurt recruiting then ban all negative posts from all threads. No talk of empty seats in the Ralph, Alerus or Betty. And certainly no talk of firing Jones, Bubba, Brew or Berry. Jim Dahl and all the mods are going to be very busy editing everyone’s negative posts from here on out.
